So yeah , my period is two days late, I'm never ever late but pregnancy test is negative 😨😨 do I just keep testing every day until i either get a line or my period starts ? Or do i just wait? I'm aware that stress can delay a period , so I'm trying to stay calm. I've just never ever been in this situation. I had been on contraception for ten years but removed it to ttc with oh but our relationship has now ended and I'm slightly freaking out

I have been ttc for 3 months. My first month I was 5 days late but not pregnant. There is a chance you could just be late. If you have just came off birth control your cycle may not be as regular due to the hormones changing. I would wait a couple of days and if your period hasn't arrived I would test again. Make sure you are using a sensitive early detection test such as a first response as some tests take a while to show 💕 x

I was a few days late for my period a few months ago, but it was because I had ovulated a little bit later in the cycle, not sure why as I wasn't stressed or unwell. Just happened for no reason.
I drove myself mad doing pregnancy tests, but they were negative.

Thank you both. I'm really trying to stay calm . I'm off bc for 8 months and I actually ovulated early last month as I had been doing the ovulation tests 😨😨 I'm going to wait a few days and test again .

Was it a OPK test you took? That looks for a spike in lutenising hormone which indicates that you're about to ovulate, it doesn't actually confirm ovulation. Sometimes cycles have several LH spikes before you actually ovulate (especially if it was early for your spike), so you may not actually be late yet. Do you temp? It's a good way to check if you've actually ovulated as it shows a rise in temperatures.

When I had a long cycle the GP advised to test once a week until AF or a BFP. Good luck.
