Retrograde Ejaculation Issues

Hey guys! So this is a little embarrassing for me so bare with as I explain... I’m a 32 year old make who has had Diabetes for 21 years. My abs the wife have been trying to conceive for a little over a year now and it has become clear that I’m suffering from retrograde ejaculation (RE). This is where the sperm goes into your bladder and not out your junk (sorry TMI). This is usually due to nerve damage to the muscles due to diabetes... We have been trying something called the Sudafed method where you have a large dose of the decongestant and it somehow closes the muscle that stops the sperm going into the bladder and everything should go as normal in theory! My question to you ladies and gents is are any of you dealing with this and have any advice on this issue? We aren’t sure about the dosage of Sudafed as we have tried a few different amounts and we have had some success but not consistently... I feel like I’m going out of my mind and I swear to God if I look at another flow chart app on ovulation I’m going to put my head through a wall!!! We really want kids and need as much help as possible please x

Have you tried speaking to your GP for a referral to Urology?

Unlikely you'll get this resolved in your own. Same thing happened to my DH and we needed IVF. GP is your first stop. Good luck, diabetes sucks.

My GP said to try this Sudafed method first, wasn’t very helpful with doses...

That’s the issue, the GP has suggested we try Sudafed first. Yes it does truly suck!

Per this medical journal it looks like you need to be taking 120mg of pesudoephedrine twice daily - so check your sudafed for contents and take accordingly?

How much did your doctor say to take? First port of all should be to double check with them.
