Implantation bleeding or period for PCOS

Hi all,

I have PCOS - it's fairly well controlled, cycles are approx 34-40 days on long. Been trying for a baby for a year with no success. I've been using flo tracker for two years and it's very accurate when it comes to period etc. Struggle re ovulation, had a load of blood tests done this month and like a lot of the cases with PCOS doctors aren't sure if I'm ovulating as couldn't capture the progesterone spike but equally said they could have missed it. Have to lose a stone to get put on CLOMID so working on it.

Anyway my period was due yesterday approx day 38/40 approx two weeks after I think I ovulated. We tried a lot around estimated timings this month.Anyway on Thursday approx day 36/38 mild cramps came, bit of spotting and I thought great period has arrived. However since then all I've done is spot lightly - just a little bit of brown mucus or a pink stain. Have cramps in my lower back and abdomen, nothing crazy like normal period pain just discomfort. Normally I spot for a day max then boom it's like the Shining with a heavy flow and the cramps on day one/two are chronic!

Any advice or insight? With PCOS it's hard to gage if this is just a period or maybe more?

Sounds like what I've had this month and I'm pregnant. Get yourself a test for the morning, fingers crossed for you.

Thanks a mill for the quick response. Do you have PCOS too?

I dont so I'm not much use in that department tbh.
But I've had light cramps, brown and pink spotting for three days starting from when my period was due. Its stopped now and still getting positives. Its bloody scary and confusing though and didn't want to read and run.

So long as it doesn't get heavy or red it's a good sign I've read.

Thanks for the positivity. Fingers and toes crossed. Good luck in your journey x

Hi there I’m in the same sort of position as you although I don’t have a PCOS diagnosis, my cycles are also irregular ranging from 28 days to around 52!
Based on averages and ovulation symptoms, I’m guessing I’m somewhere between 6dpo and 11 dpo.
I’ve been having loads of cramping today in my back and I’ve also had weird discharge. What’s yours like? I’ve been having brown/beige EWCM which is so weird considering I’m late in my cycle.
Fingers crossed for you!

Hey so is day 4 now and just like very light brown mucus and a pink/beige stein. Not much at all though! Cramps are super mild in comparison to normal period.

I haven’t had any cramping or bleeding today. No clue what’s going on Sad

Hi @mrsfitzyj I’m experiencing the same thing. When did you get your bfp? I’m 16dpo and still negatives x
