Faulty FRER digital

Hi ladies. Found out I'm pregnant today, 11 dpo with a cheapie, a FRER regular and a dollar store test. I went to take a digital I purchased last month and it came up negative? So I pulled it apart and the line is clearly there. I've attached the photo. I feel quite ripped off as these digitals are expensive, but I no longer have the receipt. Anyone know if they will send a new box? I've heard of this before.

IIRC the digitals are less sensitive so at 11dpo you're unlikely to get a positive yet. And the lines are there regardless of result on those tests.

You can't return a pregnancy test because it didn't give you the result you wanted lol! A digital test isn't as sensitive as a dip test and tend to only show a positive result after you have missed your period. Unless you have a very short luteal phase I guess you aren't yet a day late for your period, in which case you are too early to test using a digital. Wait until you are a few days late and then use the digital.

@ILikeGinAndCake haha no I don't want to return it! I've heard of the company sending you a new box because the results it provided were incorrect/faulty. And I suppose it was too early... I've seen people get positives at 9/10 dpo with digitals though! Will definitely hold off a couple days

I'm pretty sure I've read people say that pulling the test apart doesn't work as the line reacts to the air or something.

At 11dpo I wouldn't be expecting a result of a digital. I didn't get a postive at 11dpo on an early response, took till a couple of days later. Wait a couple of days then test again.

Unlikely you'll get a BFP on a digital this early - I did but I'm having twins - the only one you might is the clearblue digital with weeks which in the U.K. has a hcg sensitivity of 10 compared to standard digitals which are more like hcg of 25

Have a look on the instructions about % of accurate results compared to days before period is due - bets its only about 60% at this point

Also ALL digitals have a second line in them - the infra red will pick up a BFP if the second line is as dark or darker than the control line
