OPK help!

Hi,

I'm new to using opks and I'm just wondering is normal to get a positive opk on cycle day 25? My period is due in the next 3-5 days. I only started using them 4 days ago and the last 3 days they all seem to have quite a strong test line, could it be possible I'm only ovulating on day 25?

Any chance your pregnant? I've heard they can show positives then

It's just something I've heard especially around the dpo you are. Hope you get a bfp to. Currently starting my first TWW, please update us!

I actually just read up on it when you said it and apparently it can happen! I dunno weather to test tomorrow or just hold on for 3 days to see if herself arrives and just keep using the opks 😂.. ohhh I hope you TWW goes quick for you! Of course I'll keep this updated and keep me updated on your tww..

I'm just updating, I never got to test yesterday as i was away and forgot my opks, but I tested today and it's not as strong a line as it was, so maby it was just late ovulation 😂😂 I done a pregnancy test this morning too and it was negative but it was just a cheap strip test so I might pick up a frer and see what that says 😂😂😂

Is this positive?

Hi @Jadeb1995 I would say that was very close to being positive, perhaps try again in a few hours. Have you been tracking any other ovulation markers, for example have you been temping? What made your think you ovulated on CD11?

Thanks for coming back to the @Kay00, this is my first month tracking ovulation and I've only used OPKs.
I thought I ovulated on CD 11 as I got a high reading and after speaking on another thread people advised it looks like ovulation however using the Premom app today's one is higher than CD 11. I'm going to do another later on. My LH has been fluctuating all month, don't know if that's normal?

@Jadeb1995 It looks like perhaps you are only just ovulating now. I think it can be normal for your body to have LH peaks particulrly if you have recently come off the pill (for example in my first cycle off the pill my body attempted to ovulate around CD 14 then attempted a second time around CD 31).

I would highlighy recommend investing in a BBT thermometer (you can get them for aout £10/15 on Amazon) as a shift upwards in your temperature for more than three days in a row is the only thing that can really indicate ovulation has occured.
