PMS cramps or conception?

Hey ladies,

AF is due to arrive for me today and I'm having the cramps but it's not arrived yet. I was really nauseous last night and was sick.

Feel alright ah currently but just want to know how common is it to feel 'PMS' style cramps but be pregnant.

Very new to this so thanks in advance for any advice ☺️

I have been having PMS cramps and a bad tummy just like I normally do before period, and have recently found out am definitely pregnant! Definitely do a test - might be implantation cramps or your uterus stretching and expanding in prep. Good luck!

Hi, I’m all experiencing the same. Had cramps for three days now and I was sick earlier in the week. But put that down to sunstroke from being out the day before?! However my app says I should be due today and last two cycles were 28 days which would put this as day 30? I’ve done two test today-first one was negative. The second was a digital and didn’t work. So now I’m thinking do I wait or not? Arghhh!

I've always had pms type cramps when I've been pregnant :) good luck Op

Hey @HattieHB it's so weird isn't it. Its my normal PMS cramps but was obviously sick last night and feel really queasy now.

Maybe try tests again first thing tomorrow?

I took a CB test this morning as still no AF (Not common for me to be late) and I THINK I saw a super faint line.

Has anyone ever checked if you can see a super faint line prior to testing and I wondering if it's just the outline of the line ready does that make sense?

This is my first ever test!

The line before you do the test is called the indent line. It's fairly common to be able to see it in certain brands of tests.

Just as some tests are unfortunately prone to evap lines. When the liquid evaporates as the test dries it can leave a hint of a line where the test line would have been even if it's a BFN.

As a general rule if the test line comes up within the time frame, seems to have colour and is the correct thickness then you're in with a good chance. But in the very early days of pregnancy it can be very difficult to be sure.

I would feel hopeful if I was you and try to give it 2 more days. In 2 more days if you retest with FMU you should see a really noticeable line if you are pregnant.

Just to add, people will tell you CBs are awful but I think the only real issue with them is that they use blue dye. It's much harder to tell if a very faint line is grey (evap/indent) or blue (BFP). Where as the contrast between grey and pink is much easier to distinguish early on.

I've attached postive CB tests for reference. The second one was taken two days after the first one, so you can see a clear difference. I also recommend taking a picture of the test before you take it for comparison. My husband told me I was seeing things until I flicked back and forth on the before/after pictures. We now have an 11 month old son.

Hey @Curiosity101 I didn't take a picture but I'd say it was about the same as your first, maybe slightly lighter.

Just a little update.. still no AF. I had the teeniest hint of like pinkyish stuff when I wiped earlier (sorry that sounds so gross!) But nothing since and no AF at all. Feeling really sicky and I feeeeel like I've got a heightened sense of smell. I keep smelling snuff and my fiancé is like 'what are you on about' 😂

If still no AF tomorrow I'll pick up a FRER.
