Ttc plz help 6 days late negative test

Hi I've been ttc for a Yr now I manage my ovulation well and I bumped the ugly every other day for 5 day leading up to ovulation day checked my cm ect. I'm normally 25 day cycle never late I'm 37 yrs old partner is 50. I did a test on the day af was due which was a bfn then 3 days later still bfn I'm now 6 days late. I feel sick during the day on and off I have creamy stretchy cm sometimes watery but still stretchy. I've also had a few times of a stitch feeling on my left side and just before af was due I had it then to with back pain on the side. Has anyone else had this and ending up pregnant sorry its so long winded. X

I'd like to know same I'm 4 days late and getting so frustrated after keep having BFN on cheapos

How are you confirming ovulation? Unless you're using OPKs and BBT I'd class it as an estimate/prediction.

Most people have a reasonably fixed luteal phase (the time between ovulation and your period), and then the variation in cycle length comes from ovulation day changing.

This is how you can be 'late' and yet not have a BFP, it's often down to a change in ovulation date or failure to ovulate. Fingers crossed you ovulated later than predicted and so are technically testing too early. It does happen quite regularly on these boards and as they say, you're not out until your period arrives.

@Curiosity101 even if you ovulate late would it not show at 4 days late as they do say 99% accurate of day missed period? This is what's got me confused! I am still getting negative xx

No, because you're not late if you ovulate late.

If you have a 28 day cycle on average and a luteal phase of 12 days then you'll be ovulating in day 16.

When you're 'late' but don't have a BFP then the chances are your ovulation day changed. Your luteal phase will normally remain whatever it is, in this example 12 days long.

So let's say you're 4 days 'late'. That could just mean you're have a cycle that's 4 days longer because you ovulated 4 days later.

Hopefully that makes sense? So you think you're late but you're not. Late ovulation tends to be the most common explanation for being 'late' but with a BFN.

The HPTs should really say 'accurate by 99% at x DPO or more'. But the average person buying a pregnancy test won't know how many DPO they are so it's easier just to say 'days before period'.

@Curiosity101 thanks for that :) I didn't use ovulation tests this time (have a 7months old) we just dtd every other day , I was just going off what flo said on the app which would make me around 18 dpo but I'm still getting negative tests! I've tried everywhere to get a frer but can't get one so been using £1 tests and tonight got a clear blue but still negative! I dunno what to think it's stressing me out ahhhh! I usually have a 27 days cycle start af on day 28 x

Based on everyone else I've seen on this forum it's most likely you ovulated later than predicted and therefore aren't 18DPO.

If you've got cheap tests I'd probably just keep testing every day until either your period arrives or you get a BFP.

No af hasn't arrived yet still bfn lots of cm and I'm now 23 dpo x driving me mad xxxx

OK so for an update to u lovely ladies I'm still late I'm still get a bfn I'm now 11 days late on my 25 day cycle I do not check my ovulation days with a test I go by my cm which I no is not completely accurate but I no my body pretty well all my wierd feelings ect. And I've used maths and I bumped uglys every other day so we would miss any day did this from the first day of finishing last period. I'm now 24 dpo. I feel full and my tummy is hard like I've eaten a large Xmas Dinner. Still waiting for my bfp gonna test again on Saturday I will keep u all updated I wish u all luck xxx

OK so update so even with all my symptoms feeling ect all the cm I had af came today on day 42 of my 25 day cycle. Hope this post has helped someone. Don't let hope fail u. No dout ill b back on here at somepoint asking questions I can't find on Google lol. Gd luck all xxxxx
