Thank you @Pugprincess, I hope so, but will see over the next few days. We have our night away on Saturday, so it would be quite nice for ovulation to fall then Smile

I think last month I ovulated the day after my peak, but as @Northernsoul90 said, everyone is different. Maybe assume the Monday so you'll likely be ahead of what you think, if not spot on.

@Northernsoul90 it's definitely best to hold on as long as you can. I'm sure the second week will go as quickly - keep busy and distracted! xx

Northernsoul90 · 30/07/2020 11:06

@Pugprincess Yes I would count from Monday as ovulation would happen after you LH surge 😊 fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Pugprincess · 30/07/2020 11:40

@Northernsoul90 thank you and good luck to you also. Did you say your 7dpo? X

Northernsoul90 · 30/07/2020 12:18

@Pugprincess Yes I should be about 7dpo. Xx

So ladies I'm a bit confused, going off static smiley and ovulation type pains I should be 6/7dpo now. I've been treating this as my tww but still dtd pretty regularly about every other day. I've been having some quite sharp pains, a bit like pinching on my left side for the last hour quite similar to ovulation pains. I also have noticed some (sorry TMI) cervical mucus that is not clear like EWCM more opaque and cloudy but it's stretchy a bit like EWCM. It's a bit weird it's kind of rubbery 🥴. I'm now confused thinking what if I didn't ovulate when I got a static and I'm actually ovulating now. I suppose pains could be implantation related but I don't want to get my hopes up too much - think I will dtd tonight and tomorrow in case. The pains might also be af arriving (I hope not).

I need to try and not think ahead too much as I'm already thinking should I wait later to test if I'm not ovulating until now, should I wait longer to go the GP etc. Why are our bodies so confusing! Any opinions on this??

MichT4 · 30/07/2020 12:58

@Northernsoul90 it could be implantation cramps 🤞🏻🤞🏻 but I see what you mean about testing too soon if you are ovulating.
Next Sunday would still be 10DPO so you could get a result by then anyway.

I'd just carry on as you are, DTD when you want, and I really hope it's implantation! xx

MrsK21 · 30/07/2020 12:58

I've just had my ultrasound scan (finally!) and though I don't have an answer (consultant appointment is next week) the sonographer was quite helpful in explaining to me that it looks like I have on my left ovary:

  • a cyst from where an egg failed to rupture (will probably go away on its own)
  • a "chocolate cyst" which is endometrioma on the ovary

If it's a chocolate cyst, I'll probably need surgery to remove it 😭 she thinks it's a normal cyst but wants an MRI to understand and look at it better. Asked about my womb lining which she said looks healthy and about mid cycle (not thin but not imminently going to get AF)
I feel like this is never ending. I'm so drained by it all right now 😞

MichT4 · 30/07/2020 13:06

@MrsK21 I know it probably feels endless, but the good news is you are getting answers and hopefully some good steps towards solutions too, if you need any.
Try and stay positive - hopefully it is just a normal cyst, but if removing it helps get things back to rhythm, then that's positive too.
I know it's frustrating, and I would feel the same as you, but if you didn't know this you would just be waiting. So now you know you have a week to wait, so treat yourself, don't worry about anything (def easier said than done, so I want to punch myself for saying that) and I hope the week goes quick and with good news at the end.

Also, wahoooo to a healthy lining! xx

MrsK21 · 30/07/2020 13:34

@MichT4 you're absolutely right. Even if it is a chocolate cyst (endometrioma) it can be removed and that'll hopefully improve my fertility.
On the plus side she said she can also see lots of follicles on my ovaries which shows they're healthy.
I'm inclined to think it is an endometrioma and needs removal because rewinding back to my mc in May, I had 3 tv ultrasound and on the last one performed by a consultant, they mentioned there was a "mass" near my ovary. If it was a normal cyst it likely would've collapsed by now 2 months later (sonographer said they take about 6 weeks to collapse).
As you mentioned I'm glad I'm getting answers and hopefully there's not too much of a wait for an MRI which she's recommended as a next step to establish type of cyst. In the meantime I'm going to take a very relaxed approach to TTC and just DTD when we feel like it as I don't think I'm in danger of missing fertile week anytime soon!

Lollol86 · 30/07/2020 13:54

So these are my tests for the last few days, I know they aren't at consistent times but I'm going to start that tomorrow. I'm on cd13 today. I also do cb with fmu. How many a day would you suggest doing? Also the one from this morning was at high, that was my 2nd wee of the day but hadn't really drank much. I done one an hour a go and it was back at 0 but I had been drinking a lot so it was diluted. Would you say the one this morning is right or does that look too high compared to the ones yesterday?
Sorry for all the questions I'm new to using this ones xx

Lollol86 · 30/07/2020 13:56

Also to mention my cb has been a blank circle so far. No idea on cycle length as it was irregular pre mc xx

Northernsoul90 · 30/07/2020 14:45

Yes thank you @MichT4 I think that's what I'll do!!

@MrsK21 I know it must feel never ending but I second what @MichT4 says at least you have some answers now. Really hope it's just a normal cyst for you 🙏🏼 but even if it isn't things will be fine once it's removed your cycle should return to normal. Hope you're feeling okay 💖 did they say why the cysts have formed? Is ovulation still possible with cysts (sorry I dont know much about them) Xxx

MrsK21 · 30/07/2020 14:53

@Northernsoul90 thank you hun, hope it's just a normal one too.
She said normal ones form when a follicle containing an egg matures but doesn't rupture (quite likely for me as I didn't get a peak on my OPKs so the LH surge never happened to trigger the release of the egg).
The "chocolate cyst" is another word for an endometrioma so when endometriosis occurs on or in the ovary. Those ones can hinder that ovary from properly releasing eggs.
Ovulation is still possible but could be disrupted / not happen every cycle, a bit like PCOS I suppose. It's a lot to take in but hopefully whatever the outcome, I think it's manageable either via surgery if needed or maybe inducing ovulation with medication. Until I get the complete picture from the consultant though including my hormone levels from bloods etc, I'm going to try and stop myself from speculating too much. I really can't influence or change what's happening down there so as annoying as it is to not know what's happening cycle wise, I'm just going to try and take each day as it comes for now x

Lollol86 · 30/07/2020 15:04

@MrsK21 fingers crossed it's just a cyst. At least you finally will have the answers though and you need to see that as a positive. Having answers means they are likely to be able to treat the issue xx

MichT4 · 30/07/2020 15:08

@Lollol86 I'm no expert, but I'd possibly start with 1 a day at about 2 until they get darker, then start an additional one a little later, maybe 6ish? Or could to and 2 between 12-8 really, try to leave 4 ish hours and don't drink too much (hellish!). When they are really dark you could do 3, just so not to miss your peak.
I'm just going on my experience of trying to do 3 and it's hard to not wee or drink for that long. So I have brought it down to where I feel comfortable. Today I've just done 1 and it's unlikely I'll get another one in. Mine are generally dark, though not registering as peak, so I will DTD as much as possible anyway as I think it could be any day really.

Here's the one I just did, these are a new brand of sticks for me. How this isn't peak is beyond me....hence DTD anyway!

VP91x · 30/07/2020 15:11

@Northernsoul90 you would be my absolute inspo if you went to 16/7dpo without testing 😯. I absolutely understand why you would want to hold out though. Have you got any OPKs, just to double check? This could all be positive especially with the increase in CM and considering your 7dpo. I really hope so. xxx

@Pugprincess I really want to get a dishwasher! What one did you get? I don't really know what would be a good one 😂.

As a standard very general rule day after your peak OPK/static. Ovulation pains annoyingly apparently can be before during or after ovu so no use at all 😫😂 xx

@MrsK21 I'm so glad you had your scan today! But gosh that's alot of info for you to digest. Would you still ovulate at all with the endometrioma? Or would it disrupt it even though your right ovary is okay? I'm sorry you wont get a quick resolution maybe, I hope this week goes super quick for you so that you have clear next steps from your consultant. Hope you are ok?

@MichT4 got my opks, peed on one for absolutely no reason because nothing interesting ever happens to me on CD8 😂😂 xx

MichT4 · 30/07/2020 15:12

@VP91x of course. It's been a while since you've POAS, you needed a release.
What did it show? Say hi to my old friend femometer OPK! xx

VP91x · 30/07/2020 15:13

@Lollol86 do them mostly in the afternoon 2/6pm is a good time if you are just doing the too. They are starting to get darker so I would do a wee hold for at least a couple of hours and do one later on. Try and take the pic in the same place/background. Femometer likes to register most of them at high once they show a line, but that is definitely a darker line. xx

OP posts:
VP91x · 30/07/2020 15:15

@MichT4 showed absolutely nothing of note as I knew 😂 super faint line. I'll try again CD12. Might as well hydrate whilst I can! How's your day xx

OP posts:
MichT4 · 30/07/2020 15:18

@VP91x yeah fine thanks. Just got home and was excited to OPK (loser), thought ooh a peak and premom dared to tell me 0.71. Furious 😂😂

I need to train later which means I have to shave my legs because it's too hot for leggings. So instead I've just laid on the bed and not sure I'll move for a while. Need to put a wash on as OH put up the new washing line, after his monumental fail at breaking the last one. Fool!

How's your day? xx

Rainbowhope11 · 30/07/2020 15:22

@VP91x yay! I'm glad it arrived and I hope that it helps. I've heard amazing reviews from ladies with PCOS. How are you feeling?

I'm so so sorry to hear about coco 😢 I hope that Bella is okay. It's always so awful to lose a fur baby.

I'm doing okay. I've been so busy I haven't even had a chance to give you ladies an update on what happened since the disastrous Provera attempt. So a couple days later, my AF showed, normal as can be haha! I feel like my body was rejecting the Provera because it was telling me to try and trust in my body a little more. This month, I'm trying the grapefruit juice as well and it looks like it's helped! I'm currently on CD10 and I'm doing SMEP. I've also bought Proov strips, they are tests that you use after ovulation to confirm ovulation (it tests for progesterone). Not sure if it's available in the UK. They are a little pricey but I figured I'd try it so that I can be fully equipped with information before my appointment with the fertility doc.

@Hayleylou89 looooooove your scan pics!!! Please keep them coming! DH and I always love seeing everyone's rainbow babies❤️ it gives me so much hope. All the best for Friday lovely, I'll be thinking of you!

How is everyone doing?

VP91x · 30/07/2020 15:26

@MichT4 😂😂😂 love a retractable washing line. Are we old now?

Yeah alright, took Milo to his vet appointment. I stained two of the doors at home and put away some washing I'd been avoiding. Im watching SOA, then food shop and picking up the tiny human that eats most of it 😂.

Ah how annoying! EAH gets your hopes up so badly 😫 xx

OP posts:
VP91x · 30/07/2020 15:30

@Rainbowhope11 omg, well I'm glad AF came but still frustrating that it rejected the provera and done its own thing. Can't believe you're on CD10 already! Yeah, I take the two sachets a day. Are yours tablets? Thank you again for the recommendation ❤️

All okay here, aside from losing Coco but feeling positive and chilled (ish) about this cycle xx

OP posts:
MichT4 · 30/07/2020 15:33

@VP91x I just can't see that test getting any darker. Maybe I'll eat my words one day soon ?she hopes) when it's super dark.
I never hung my washing outside, our last house had a courtyard garden, and I was always anti-washing lines. Now I'm waiting for the washing to end so I can hang it. Oh god, what's happened to me 😭😂

How was Milos check? Have you decided whether to replace Coco?

@Rainbowhope11 ooh progress! Good old Provera telling you off! I saw Proov online actually and considered it but it was quite expensive and I'm not sure what postage would have been to the U.K. interested to hear your experience though. Sounds like you'll have all the knowledge for your appointment

xx

MrsK21 · 30/07/2020 15:33

@VP91x the sonographer wasn't entirely clear on that but having consulted Dr Google, an endometrioma can sometimes disrupt ovulation or decrease that ovary's ability to produce a good quality egg.
I reckon it is an endometrioma because the miscarriage consultant at the time also said there is something on/near the left ovary. Whatever the case is, we'll have to weigh up pros and cons of surgery and if it's a must.
Also the thought of going back to my useless GP with all this info is filling me with dread!!!

@MichT4 I wish I had the motivation to do some exercise, really need to get myself out of this rut!

Northernsoul90 · 30/07/2020 15:37

@MrsK21 Ahh right okay, thanks I really don't much about these things our reproductive system is soooo much more complex than I ever thought. I think that's the best attitude to have just take it a step at a time xxx

@VP91x Thank you, I have got some OPKs yes I haven't been holding though and I've drank quite a lot do you think I should still do one? Me too I hope they are good signs and not my body playing tricks 🙏🏼

@Rainbowhope11 Im glad AF showed up for you finally 😊
