No period for 37 days. Is it just my body getting used to not being on the pill?

I stopped my pill in June because I was fed up of it making me feel crappy. Usually when I stop the pill (as I have done many times over the years, either to TTC or just to take a break), my cycle goes straight back to normal. 28 days, 5-6 day periods. I stopped my pill early June, started a period on 15th June that lasted 9 days and nothing since then Confused DH and I have had sex several times since but always used condoms. What is going on?!

Hey @AintNobodyHereButUsChickens - I'm cd126 and still no period post pill! Things can take a long time to regulate in many different ways. Check out the post pill thread at www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/3940354-Advice-for-Women-That-Have-Come-off-the-Pill-Share-your-Experience

I agree with the PP, there's no fixed time for your body to get back to normal, but also your normal can change over time. I think we almost get into a false sense of security with hormonal birth control. Ie. 'Well my body has always done this in the past, so it'll be the same now'. But it's well knows that our bodies change over time, so it's not unreasonable to think that coming off of hormonal birth control might reveal those changes.

For what it's worth my first cycle off of the combined pill was roughly 36 days. My second was 34/35 I think so it was probably coming down to whatever was normal for me. You're only in your first cycle so there's plenty of time for it to regulate, it might just take a little longer than you expect.

Are you planning to TTC soon?
