How dark do IC tests get?? Worried πŸ˜•

Hi everyone, I got my bfp at 10dpo and confirmed it with a CBD but have been obsessively poas with IC since to make sure it’s sticking due to having a CP recently and a history of MC. I’m now 15dpo but the test lines aren’t getting any darker. I’ve never used them before so I don’t know if they stay quite pale or if I should be expecting a darker line by now. I’m just freaking myself out because I’ve been feeling really sick for the past 6 days but today I don’t and my IC test is a little paler than yesterdays. Can’t sleep worrying that it’s going to be another CP. Has anyone else tested daily after their bfp with these tests that can share how dark the line gets and at what dpo. Thanks! Going a bit crazy πŸ˜–

I'm 8 weeks with twins and my line didn't even get as dark at the control line - I really wanted to see a "dye stealer" everyone talks about 🀣
I would try not to worry too much especially when it involves the cheap tests as I've seen massive variations in those

Honestly OP those IC tests are crap - when I ttc my second I had a hell of a time with them. Once got a glaring (false) positive and then when I actually was pregnant with positive frers and digital, I didn't get a bfp on an ic for about another week. I really wouldn't worry about line strength on them. I just don't think they are accurate enough for that. Everything crossed for you that your pregnancy sticks!

These were taken with the same fmu. Big difference! I know it's silly to say don't test obsessively because I did, but try to remember 'what will be will be', regardless of a some varying levels of pigment. Flowers

I had the same thing, taking them every 2 or 3 days after my BFP, obsessing if they weren't dark enough etc. After a couple of weeks of this I realised it was silly and I was just stressing myself out unnecessarily and stopped doing them! Now 19 weeks 😊 I would stop doing them and try not to worry!! Good luck xx

Thank you!! I needed all of these replies so much, I woke up and did another one that was super pale like it was at 10dpo and I realised I have to stop this and just relax, for as long as I’m not bleeding I don’t need to be worrying.
Having said that, the voice in my head is saying GO BUY A LOAD OF FRERS πŸ˜‚ this conceiving lark really does make you crazy huh?
Promising myself I’m not going to test anymore and just chill out. My boobs are so sore today that I can’t even bear my arms touching them so taking that as a really good sign πŸ™
Thank you again

How many tests since yesterday, Noodles? Smile Congratulations, by the way!

If your really convened here a clear blue with weeks I had a missed miscarriage last year and am now 16weeks pregnant. Last time
I tested daily and realised that It doesn’t actually tell you anything because the hormone stays in your system. But this time I limited my self to 4 clear blue with weeks and did one each week to make sure the hormone was increasing these only go up to 3+ so I stopped after that but it’s a good reassurance rather than looking at lines every day and also helps stop daily testing. Good luck with your pregnancy xx

ivfdreaming · 23/07/2020 10:07

I agree with @Dspx

I've had several several miscarriages and ectopics and so am a compulsive tester

This time I used amazon cheapies and First response - I got clearblue 1-2 weeks 2 days before my period so then swapped on to clearblue with weeks and monitored every few days when it went up to the next level until I got 3+

Clearblue digitals with weeks have always predicted a non viable pregnancy for me so I do trust them

Thanks everyone, I’ve got two CBD coming today, if I do one today it should say 2-3 and if not I’ll wait a few days and do the other. My IC this morning was actually darker so that’s reassured me a bit!

Hi, @Noodles22 I did ics a lot.. I started getting faint lines at 10dpo and had a good dark line by 20dpo.. They were the femometer ones.. Picture attached.. As you can see they weren't particularly dark until the 20dpo test. I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant and also did a load of frers and a digi πŸ˜…

That’s so reassuring thank you! I have no idea how to add pictures but mine are all about the same as the second to last one in your pic so it’s really good to see that they tend to be paler at this stage! If someone can tell me how to add a pic (on mobile) I’ll share today’s
