Could I be pregnant?

Hello, my cycle is usually 35 days and I last had sex on day 10, period due in 5 days or so. For the past week I have been feeling sick, cramps coming and going, have a runny nose, headaches, exhausted and struggling to wake up in the morning, feeling bloated even though I’m not able to eat much as I’ve gone off some foods, really gassy. Is it possible I could be pregnant even though I last had sex on day 10 of my cycle or do you think it’s PMS? Is it too early to use pregnancy test? Thanks

You certainly could be, but I don’t think you’d feel sick that early on, although I’m sure not impossible with hormones.

You can buy a first response early test- they rest 6 days before you’re due.

Saves you having to wait another 5 days.

If your cycles are regular I'd say the odds of you being pregnant are slim. The longest LP is around 17 days so odds are you ovulated after CD20. None of the sperm from CD10 would be around to fertilise the egg at that point.

Saying that, you could have had a freak month where you ovulated early and you're now in fact late for your period without realising it because you're expecting a 35 day cycle? Based on this scenario you could test now as you'd be 15dpo at least.

Thanks for your replies. My periods are normally regular but they have only recently returned since having my first baby. I’ve had 2 periods so far and the 1st cycle was 39 days. I guess the only way to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test!
