CONFUSED..EWCM after LH surge - First month after CP

Hi all,

I am very new to this!!

Last month i had a CP at 4 weeks 4days, i was shattered and broken. My OH had work so i was WFH alone and on most days i would burst into tears it was the hardest thing i ever went through.

We decided to try again following reports of being more fertile after CP, so i bleed July 1 (Day 1 CD) and got positive LH surge on 15 July (CD15) , and my Fermometer app says i ovulated on 16 July (CD16) - DTD only on 13 July (CD13) x2, as OH was working late shifts and super tired!

Apologies for TMI i had wet watery CM until my LH surge, after this i had so much EWCM the most i have ever seen which lasted 2 days 17th and 18th July so DTD on 17th.

i am so so confused on when i ovulated the 16th July the day after my LH surge or the 18th the day after my EWCM. i have been been going crazy and struggling to concentrate on anything else.

Was all this ECWM i got 2 days after my LH Surge me being extra fertile???

You have the LH surge then ovulate, they say to count the last day of EWCM as the day you ovulate but what i found with my cycles was i would ovulate and have EWCM the day after too, which isnt a bad thing because the egg may well still be viable at that time. So your egg viability window may have been between 16th and 17th. The month just gone we had sex once (we were too tired from late nights leading up too), and i ovulated early....so i ovulated late on 7th and we DTD morning of 8th, and i had a BFP yesterday so to me it sounds like you may have caught your fertile window. I have my fingers crossed this month i get a sticky bean and we caught the egg! Such a rollercoster of emotions.

As crazy as it sounds i have been reading non-stop posts on MumsNet for agesss and only signed up today!

Hi @Mandy133 I have had the same thing following an early loss last month.

Normally I get two days max of ewcm and not great amounts but this month I had 5 or 6 days in the end and alot more than what is normal for me. Also ovulation pains over a longer period and a really increased sex drive (sorry if that's tmi) but like you I am hoping it means I'm more fertile this month.

how many DPO are you gone. My app tells me i am 5dpo today even though i think i may have ovulated a day later when EWCM turned up.

today noticed slightly heavier breasts and cramps/twinges through out the day along with bloating.

@Mandy133 I think I'm either 3 or 4 dpo depending on when I ovulated but tbh it could have been any point between cd 13 and 16 as I ran out of OPKs this month. Even cd 13 is late for me as normally I ovulate on CD 10 or 11 but had no LH surge on those days.

Feeling a bit of heartburn and nausea but its probably just wishful thinking on my part this early lol. Thanks very much for the luck. Hope we both get our BFPs :)

I think you have to wait a day or two as s new account before you can attach pics. Maybe try again today? Would be happy to have a look at your bbt.

Here is my BBT chart, any idea on ovulation occurred! Fairly new to all of this and reading this chart has confused me super!

As mentioned before I had loads of EWCM the day or so after my LH surge.
