@Girlmum83 thanks for sharing your beautiful scan pics! Congratulations on the healthy babies and long may it last. All the best with everything xx

MichT4 · 20/07/2020 18:30

Just seen @Jazper recommended sachets too. I can never use them because of the cranberry 🙄

@Jazper that's a lovely thing to say, thank you. I think it's just how I cope better, I couldn't be at home thinking all day. Every now and again it hits me and I have a little/big cry, but I don't want to let myself be hard on my body or let the negative thoughts take over. So keeping busy is key.

I hope you are ok, I understand sometimes it's nice to have a break. Always here though xx

MichT4 · 20/07/2020 18:34

@VP91x work was fine thanks, really busy which is good. It's funny I'm now so aware of things that are causing underlying stress. Had an email today from someone being difficult, she has been for years, but today I had this real sort of anxiety about it and straight away was aware that I didn't want to let it bother me. I think before I'd let things sit in my mind and they didn't feel like a burden but they were. I'm not at a point where I'm trying to not have additional stresses and I noticed it today when I just dealt with it rather than let it worry me endlessly. Not sure if that makes sense when I say it out loud. Just amazing how much extra stuff we carry.

How was the potty training while out today? Any tantrums?

@MrsK21 sorry I forgot to say, I'm a Finance Director, so an accountant but people always look at you like you're a bore when I say that 😂🤓
What do you do?

xx

Jodiem1990 · 20/07/2020 18:41

Hi everyone I had a normal miscarriage on the 22nd may then 2weeks later they found another baby in my left tube which they had to remove on the 7th June.

It's been 6 weeks now and I never did have a period since. The last 2 week's I have had period pains that feel like I was going to start then the last 2 days my nipples have become so sore and flaky so I took a test and I am 2-3 weeks pregnant. I cannot believe it, that means I must of gotten caught 3 weeks after surgery. I didn't even know that was possible, has anyone else gotten pregnant straight away, I am so scared that it's going to happen again.

Xx

MichT4 · 20/07/2020 18:48

Gosh @Jodiem1990 sorry to hear what you've been through. That has happened very quickly - congratulations on the new pregnancy!

I haven't any experience of falling that quickly. I know you can ovulate quickly after a MC so it's possible!

I hope everything goes well for your pregnancy this time xx

MichT4 · 20/07/2020 18:51

@Jodiem1990 were you tracking ovulation or anything?

Jodiem1990 · 20/07/2020 18:54

Thankyou for your reply. I was told by my midwife to come on this site when I left hospital to speak to others who had been through the same & I cannot believe how much it has helped me...Just reading all of your stories and what others have been through just makes u feel "less alone" if u know what I mean.

I have googled everywhere on the internet to see if anyone else had gotten caught straight away but couldn't find anything so thought I would do a post.

I'm at epau Wednesday morning as they have gone by my operation date so that would make me 6 weeks but a clear blue test is saying 2-3 weeks.

I'm just so confused and in shock, I don't even know how I am feeling because I just keep thinking it's going to happen again

Xx

Jodiem1990 · 20/07/2020 18:56

@MichT4 no I bled for a week after the operation but that was it xxx

Northernsoul90 · 20/07/2020 18:59

Thank you @Jazper and I'm glad to hear you are doing okay! 💖 I know how you feel about taking a step back a bit but it's nice to have you check in 😊

@Jodiem1990 I'm so sorry for what you have been through and congrats on your new pregnancy. I understand you being anxious about miscarrying again but please try and relax and enjoy (as best you can) once you have been to the EPAU hopefully you feel a little less nervous about things. There are ladies on this thread who are also pregnant after mc so you are in the right place as I'm sure they will offer words of wisdom. Xxx

Jodiem1990 · 20/07/2020 19:03

Thanks @Northernsoul90 that means a lot, would the bleed straight after surgery be classed as a period then?? I'm kind of embarrassed because I can't actually pin point when I could of gotten pregnant on what date so I feel a bit embarrassed for when the midwife asks...(especially when they tell you to not have sex for at least a few months to let your body recover) Blush xxx

Jodiem1990 · 20/07/2020 19:05

And I only have my right tube aswell because they had to remove my left one in surgery because it had ruptered xxx

Northernsoul90 · 20/07/2020 19:08

@Jodiem1990 I'm not 100 percent sure really on the period but presumably you ovulated very soon after your pregnancy hormones dropped to zero or there about. When did you get a negative test after your mc? Don't worry about the midwife, I know they advise waiting for a cycle but a lot of people don't and that's only for dating reasons (unless there's a specific medical need). They aren't there to be judgmental and I'm sure if you tell them the weeks on the test they may be able to work it out or might offer an early dating scan. My friend has PCOS and wasn't sure of her last period dates so they sent her for an early scan. Xxx

Jodiem1990 · 20/07/2020 19:14

@Northernsoul90 I got a negative 1 week after surgery.

Sorry I feel so ignorant because I hardly know what to do on here and havnt asked about any of the rest of you? how are you? Have u had a MC or etopic? Are u pregnant? (I will learn to use this lol)

Xxx

VP91x · 20/07/2020 19:15

@MichT4 is amazing how much affects us, and with lockdown etc so much of those little things went away that we will be more aware of them and should get rid ASAP. I'm glad you found a way to deal with it so it didn't bother you.

I actually put a nappy on her I knew she would want to go on the play ground bits etc and I didn't want her to have an accident. Plus the toilets are quite spaced out etc anyway, she had a great time and was an angel child funnily enough. I'm just lying on the floor next to her bed waiting for her to go to sleep.

@Jodiem1990 wow, you've been through a lot recently. Congratulations on your new pregnancy, don't feel embarrassed. Alot of people get pregnant straight after a MC. They'll be able to date the pregnancy for you. I hope all goes well ❤️

Jodiem1990 · 20/07/2020 19:20

@VP91x thanks love..not getting my hopes up on anything until I know everything is okay, I already count my blessings that I have a beautiful healthy 7 year old girl. Oh god I don't miss potty training tho lol I had to replace so many rugs and mattresses haha xxx

Northernsoul90 · 20/07/2020 19:35

@Jodiem1990 You probably ovulated one or two weeks after your negative then 😊 fingers crossed all goes well for you!! I had a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks about 6 weeks ago now which I had to have an mva procedure for as my body didn't miscarry naturally. That was my first pregnancy. I've only just got my negative pregnancy test today which is 6 weeks after the procedure so just trying to track ovulation at the minute and hopefully conceive soon 🤞🏼. Don't feel ignorant there's a lot on the thread and it's hard to keep up with sometimes 😂 xx

VP91x · 20/07/2020 19:44

@Jodiem1990 really hope your little bean will be nice and snug in there. I can only imagine how anxious you must be. A few of the ladies here are in early stages too so can sympathise.

Haha, yeah all kinds of stuff everywhere, but I'm hoping she will be okay in a few weeks. She had a dry nappy last night which was unexpected! Xx

Cycle day 12 here and just tested opk and still just faint line from the residual hcg. Actually wish that would pee off now it’s annoying me. Just want it gone and to ovulate so I can have a try! DTD tonight anyway to keep on with the every other night and keep hubby’s sperm fresh.

@Jodiem1990 welcome I’m quite new too. Congratulations on your pregnancy, I hope this one sticks for you 🤞🏻 I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks preg on 9th July. It was my first pregnancy after trying for 5 years. We were about to start fertility treatment. I’ve come to the conclusion I was working my two jobs and doing far too much which is why it happened during lockdown for us, classic body relaxing thing I think. I’ve quit one job and got a new steady one as I was agency before. I’m exercising and transforming my diet to try and help give things a boost. Losing weight helps too I hear. X

Jodiem1990 · 20/07/2020 20:00

Aww that's awful I am so sorry..hopefully not to long & u will conceive with a beautiful bundle of joy xxx

SmileyT · 20/07/2020 20:00

@MichT4 OH always makes me lunch to take in but sometimes just get caught up, then eat all the food when I'm home 😂

@MrsK21 yeah I found the first month of temping a bit stressful but after that I found it just part of my routine, I'd literally put thermometer in without opening my eyes 😂

@VP91x ahh I'm so jealous of your little adventures with little one ☺️ and glad she was good for you, rubbish about the UTI, i'm sure I've had one but can't remember what I did tbh. And yes came home and had; chicken, rice and veg... then a slice of toast w/ PB and a box of tic tacs 😂 x

@Jazper yes I probably sounded really negative and ungrateful earlier, I'm honestly not, I just feel safe in this group at the moment, so don't want to leave, I will eventually I promise 🙈 totally understand taking a step back it can become consuming but keep checking in and giving us updates xx

@Jodiem1990 hi 👋 sorry for your losses. I didn't get pregnant the 1st month but there are a fair few that did, I ovulated late the first month after surgery and CB works from conception rather than last period so if you ovulated around 3weeks after surgery that would tally. Honestly don't worry about dates because even people that track down to the day have their dates changed at dating scan it's just the Drs like to have something to compare size against, they'll just ask when LMP is but if you have a 38 day cycle rather than a 28day cycle they'll change dates anyway, the Dr explained to me that MC bleeding is pretty much the same as a period, just a name for shedding your lining. Will they scan you tomorrow? xx

Lollol86 · 20/07/2020 20:02

@VP91x I recently potty trained my little girl during lock down, I honestly through she just wasn't getting it until I done a star chart and wrapped up some presents. Every 3 stars she got from going on the potty she got a surprise. It's funny what a star chart can get them to do 😂😂
Anyway she's fully trained during the day and most mornings her nappy was completely dry, but was holding off on night time as she has a bottle of milk for bed, one night I completely forgot to put her nappy on and didn't realise until the morning and she was completely dry, so I got rid of all nappies.
Hopefully Bella will be there before you know it.

Jodiem1990 · 20/07/2020 20:08

Oh god I have just downloaded the app and can't work out how to reply to u all lol so I am sorry if my messages are all over the place...Aww girls I am so sorry for all your losses I truly am, it's awful isn't it. I really believe that there is always a rainbow over every storm so there is hope for us all... the midwife said they will take bloods and decide on the day if they should scan or not...it might just be in my head but honestly I keep having left side pain like I did with my etopic (even though I know it is impossible because there is no tube there)

Sorry again I can't tag u all in this reply but I'm struggling to work it out...and I don't understand the short meanings some of you are putting aswell lol ( I feel so silly) haha xxxBlushBlush

Jazper · 20/07/2020 20:11

@SmileyT , you don't sound ungrateful, you sound entirely grateful and scared of losing something so precious to you.
And I'm sure I speak for all the ladies here when I say there is no rush at all for you to leave. You were (and still are) an incredible source of support in here and we'll be sorry to lose you when you eventually feel ready to go. But of course we will wave you off with pride like a chick flying the nest 😂😂😂

Many thanks for the messages from the others @VP91x @Northernsoul90 and @MichT4 and for letting me know I'm always welcome. Xxx

1990EM · 20/07/2020 20:14

Hi @Jodiem1990 I had a miscarriage in May and got pregnant in June straight away without any period in between 🙈 I'm 10 weeks along and I still haven't fully accepted it but hopefully will be more real when I get a scan! It's such a hard one because you're still mourning the the loss when you discover the new pregnancy.. and feel nearly guilty that we started trying straight away - just never expected it to be so soon. At the same time it helps the pain to have something lovely to look forward to. I have hung around in this group still as i just felt so safe and comfortable here and i love seeing the happy endings that come after MC. Sorry for all you have been through, I totally understand the anxiety now but it helps to take one day at a time and count each day that passes as a small victory until you get to your next milestone. Hope you and baby stay healthy and well for the next 9 months and beyond!❤
