Can anyone tell me where I might find information on the laws surrounding moving eggs or embryos extracted and frozen in this country abroad? I believe they are very strict but can't find much information beyond that.

Contact the HFEA- they have all the information that you need or alternatively your current clinic will be able to tell you how they do this.

Thanks Mrsfw - struggling to find what I'm looking for on their site but will keep at it unless anyone has a summary of the current situation? I believe it's changed in the last couple of years?

Weirdly I was recently looking into this out of curiosity. We have frozen embryos from a UK round of IVF but are considering moving abroad in the future.

The info is here:

www.hfea.gov.uk/treatments/explore-all-treatments/importing-and-exporting-sperm-eggs-and-embryos/

The short of it I think is that yes, it's possible but it depends where to and whether the place you are exporting to has similar credentials / standards.
