OPKs - help!

Hi. I am new to using OPKs, but have been TTC for 5 months using Glow app, but no luck.

I am due to ovulate today on my Glow app but showing negative OPKs for the last 7 days including today..

I am now worrying like mad I am not ovulating, despite ovulation symptoms. Perhaps it’s time to speak to the GP

Any kind advice welcome

U should use a ovulation test every 2nd day for a month so see when/if ur ovulating. I ovulate a different day every month so listening to my app dsnt help me. Dnt just go on the app. X

I ovulated a lot later than my app said. When did you start testing? What are you using? What does the line look like?

I am just using a cheap pack of 30 off amazon, but considering getting the digital tests just to make sure they are negative.

I started testing 7 days ago.

You can have missed it so just keep testing, mine was a lot late and I started to worry. Are you getting second line, it should be there but quite light then it'll be positive when its darker than the control. If you use the fermometer app you can show it your test strip and it tells you if its low high or peak.
Dont stress out yet, just keep going.

The dates on glow are an estimate, keep going with the OPKs to find out when you actually ovulate. Everyone's surge is different and you may find you have a quick, short one rather than seeing slow progression.

I always found tracking CM as a good indicator, when the 'right' CM appeared I knew to do OPKs every day.

Are you tracking your BBT? Charting OPKs plus BBT and any other signs you track will give you a more reliable chart.

@Nottherealslimshady I am only getting one line, no faint test line at all. I will download the app now, sounds very helpful

I have started tracking CM too, I am just getting confused between glow app, negative OPKs and cm.. I haven’t tracked bbt as I have read it must be taken at the same time before getting up after a certain amount of sleep or it won’t be accurate

Yes you need to take your BBT as soon as you wake up, around the same time everyone at. Just keep a thermometer by the bed and it quickly becomes habit.
There are lots of really good websites with info on how to chart when TTC for guidance. OPKs plus BBT is pretty reliable for most!

Just keep testing but for next month do you temp in the morning and I'd recommend the clear blue 4 day OPKs.

I ovulated about 8 days before my app said I would, keep at it, everyone is different :)

@Marden11302 goodness that’s quite a way out isn’t it, looks like I will have to do full months OPKs rather than part of the month in line with the app!

I’d definitely recommend testing a little earlier, if I hadn’t I would have totally missed my peak! Poxy app 😂

Sorry back asking more advice.. I ordered a new set of OPKs as the last set only ever showed one line

I have just tested and have had the below. According to the chart still a negative but hopefully now I can monitor properly

The app is just an estimate. I use the premom ORK's from Amazon and use the app that goes with it (you can take photos of the strips to compare line progression day by day)
It turns out that I ovulate really late (around CD20) and I only found that out by continually using the OPK strips. If I used the app only as a guide my ovulation would have been totally inaccurate.

Thanks @StellaDelMare I have given up with the app and are testing every day with OPKs. I think the last batch I had though were dodgy as they only ever showed up one line
