New here. I came off the pill 2 months ago to start trying to conceive. Ive had 1 period since. Im now 3 days over my predicted monthly visit but have been given a negative test result and I'm gutted. Im super emotional and peeing constantly. Usually my pms is more anger than emotional. Is it possible ive tested to early or am i just over thinking things? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated x

Are you tracking your cycle in any way (OPKs, temping?). Cycles can vary in length, my typical cycles are 31 days but I've had them between 26 and 35 days. You'd be late when you are more than around 14 days after you ovulated which is why tracking helps to know what's going on!

Being fresh off hormonal contraception it can take a while for your periods to settle into a routine. You're now not on the artificial hormones so this can change your PMS symptoms too. The advice I got from my gp when I had a very long cycle was to test once a week until BFP or AF.

@PlanBea is right - after I came off the pill it took 3-4 months for periods to regulate, so I would have one then one 6 weeks later then maybe another 5 weeks etc.

The only month I had no symptoms was when I was pregnant! Don’t want to be a downer but I don’t think this will be your month OP, try tracking your ovulation and I’m sure you’ll get your BFP soon x
