OPK tests: was this positive?

I've done bucket loads of these tests before. When I get my LH surge the test is usually blazingly strong. On CD 13 I had a close positive and I expected it to be stronger the next test later that day but it was faint again. CD13 was also much earlier than I was expecting a positive OPK. I don't pay as much attention to the numbers associated with the pictures because I know that depending on light etc they will read differently to the same test result. Anyho, was that likely to be my surge? I did feel as though I was ovulating but didn't believe it. I should have ovulated today based on my past charting. Feeling a bit fed up.

Noooo @calimommy you're back on the TTC boards :( I'm so sorry!

Looking at your OPKs there's a 12 hr gap between tests on CD13 and I think you would have had your peak then. I'd continue testing until your normal OD just in case this was a false start though - mainly for peace of mind so you don't wonder if it actually did end up happening later after all.

@calimommy I believe so! My OPKS looked exactly like that. Was not as dark, but still darker than the other days, and then faded again. In fact, mine looked exactly like that and I am now 7 weeks pregnant. If you’re on a roughly 28 day cycle you’re most fertile at day 12,13 and 14. So good luck! 🙂

Hi @Juno231 yes back again unfortunately lost that last pregnancy around 10 weeks. I normally
Have around 36hrs of positive OPKlines when I ovulate so that's why I assumed it wasn't the right time. Also as I wasn't expecting it then I don't think we DTD enough. Anyho I'll keep testing, see how it goes. How are things with you??

@LucyGrace19961 congrats on your bean, I hope how's well!

@calimommy I'm really sorry to hear that! I'd maybe carry on testing in case that was a false start and you ovulate later. If those were my OPKs though I'd have assumed CD13 was a peak and I just missed it. Then again CD14 OD would be fine for me! Any chance your cycles are not fully back to normal after the miscarriage?

I'm still just plodding along, on cycle 7 now and had a really weird cycle 6 so feeling a bit meh about the whole thing. Yet to have a BFP ever!

@Juno231 it definitely was the surge. Then I went ages without anymore near positives and started getting dark lines past few days. Turns out we got the right timing after all 🤷‍♀️

@calimommy oh flip you made it!! Congratulations 🎊 I'm so happy for you! You're one fertile lady 😁. Will you let the Feb bus girls know? From memory you were on their grad bus I think?

calimommy · 24/07/2020 20:03

@Juno231 thank you x anxious in case this turns out like the last time but nothing to be done about it either way I suppose. Pregnancy number 7 wow not a number I ever expected to reach for sure.

Can you link the feb group? I'm not sure I can find it anymore
