Hi I've been telling 3 months now and trying to learn to pinpoint ovulation, been ttc 10 months now, it sure if pcos signs despite GP saying hormone tests and ultrasounds being normal. Attached is latest chart, not sure if ovulated cd22 or 25 or even later! I work 11 hour shifts as a nurse too and have ME so it's really important to me to start to learn to interpret my bbt. Thanks in advance!

@kerrym87 have you got a pic of the whole chart I can't see your pre-CD23 temps on the pic, but from what I can see it does look like temps have raised around CD27 x

@kerrym87 well I think every woman is different but according to the 'ovulation is confirmed by 3 temps higher than the previous 6' I'd say that CD27 was ovulation but obviously there are other things like room temp, drinking etc that can have an affect. Did you get any ovary twinges on a certain date? x

@SmileyT, No, I didn't this cycle, had lots of pain on one side last time which went after I think I ovulated. It doesn't hurt very often. I'm trying to figure out if we missed the boat as i was on 2 x 12 hour shifts back to back on cd 26 & 27 and was unwell after them and then as my temp had gone up cd28 I thought I'd ovulated so didn't get back on it sooner. Previous cycle I had an increase for cd 28 before it crossed the coverline and I was sure it was still on the way up.

I don’t use the same app as you so not familiar with the layout but I would agree that it looks like you ovulated on CD27. If your temps stay high or keep going up then that will confirm it.
If you’re having trouble pinpointing it then opks can help. You’ll get a surge in lutenizing hormone (LH) 12-24 hours before you ovulate. I like to use both so that I know when I’m about to ovulate and can confirm it with a raise in bbt. It helps rule out the ambiguity as no method is always clear cut on its own

@SmileyT I did for first temped cycle but I have been having more than one episode of ewcm and a possible temp rise more than once too so I was poas for like 10 days at times per cycle, might have to go back to it with temping. Thanks

Sorry @LuckyFlash I tagged wrong person! Previous post was in reply to you. I wasn't sure if CD23 was around ovulation as temps were higher than previous 6 but not by much, opk would have likely confirmed. I just didn't get a clear result last few cycles despite regular tests and ewcm/temp indicating I had ovulated. Using one step, will try next again cycle.
