A friend of mine and his wife were told they had less than a 1% chance of conceiving a child as her ovaries are in the wrong position, ie they did not descend properly while she was still in utero, and therefore IVF was also not an option for her, not without doner eggs anyway and this treatment would not have been covered on their medical plan (they live in south africa).
