Sorry for the multiple threads today, I posted this on another thread but thought it might get missed.

I basically have a question and wondering if anyone can help?

I’m very confused and feeling tired so just need some advice Confused

I’ve had investigations and have been shown to have endometriosis, PCOS and fibroids. Ive has surgery for the endometriosis in Feb of this year. Am on metformin to help with the PCOS. My Husband has just had sperm analysis too so awaiting the results. It’s been a stressful 2 years and now that there are no Gynae clinics running, I’m confused about what to do next?

What is the next step for me? Please help!

How did you find out the gyno clinics near you aren't running? I'm only asking because my gp referred me to gyno about 1/2 weeks ago and I've got a telephone appt for the end of this month with them! Maybe ask your gp again? I don't know if it's different in different areas though, good luck!

So have you completed all of the investigations planned and you require a follow up appointment? How long since your husbands sperm analysis? Do you have a number for the gynae consultants secretary? They may do a telephone consultation.
After all of my investigations etc they then arranged for a follow up appointment to discuss results and which route we were going to take.

@Bubblegum20 Oh yay! I’m glad you got your appointment :) So, I’ve been emailing the hospital team, the admin team that is and they keep telling me no appointments yet Confused

@Metallicalover Yes so all my investigations are done and I’ve had some surgery off the back of those. I was due a follow up post op to see what the next plan of action would be but haven’t had that. I’ve had almost 6 months since surgery with no BFP and so am very desperate to move on and get things going, whatever they may be.
Husband had his sperm analysis just last week and they said results should be another 2 weeks. Does that sound right?
I do have a number for the secretary but she fobbed me off a couple of times already :( Who should I call?

Are they ringing you with the results of the semen results in 2 weeks as an appointment?
I know that they do semen analysis straight away as they check for the shape, number and motility of the sperm. We got the results back pretty quick, had one done via the GP and one by the IVF clinic.

AmesK · 11/07/2020 22:35

@Metallicalover The semen analysis results will be sent back to the referrer in 1-2 weeks and that would be our GP. So then we will have to ring up the GP to get them I’m guessing. Then maybe we can discuss what they mean and what to do next?

If you were due a follow up after your op and that hasn't taken place I would call PALS at the hospital to ask if they're able to check what is actually happening with the gynae department and whether phone consultations are taking place.

@CurbsideProphet Ok good plan :) Yes I will do this because I am actually getting tired of getting fobbed off! Thank you :)
