Hello, just a new thread for August...will add people as and when they finish with the 'July pact'

I think it's important to have a relevant thread once you are looking forward and gearing up for the next cycle...
Or chat turns to tww's when we will want to start chatting about ovulation again...

Will run both threads alongside each other ❤️

Morning! Blank circle on my first OPK of the month. Anticipating my peak on weds / Thursday. I'm feeling optimistic - not necessarily about managing to get pregnant but just to not completely let it take over my life / mind this month.

I've (as yet) no intention of buying any HPTs this month!

MrsB2019x · 20/07/2020 10:12

@kirinm if you succeed with your mindset please share your secret 😂 I’m buying IC tests this month as I spent a fortune on FRER last cycle!

All about self-preservation I think. I felt so miserable last month and I don't want to feel like that all the time. I'm increasing my exercise and distracting myself with other things.

We are going camping at the end of August so I'm going to spend my time googling tent accessories and other things we don't really need rather than symptoms (hoping to anyway).

Testing regularly makes me a bit crazy. I spend most of my day trying to find lines, adjusting photographs and not doing any work. It isn't healthy.

Fingers crossed @LeopardLover really hope we all get our take home babies

LeopardLover · 20/07/2020 10:36

@Boc86 This is so positive! I'm really glad you have a supportive GP and fingers crossed this will make all the difference. 😊

@kirinm Sounds like the perfect plan! Our house renovations are really picking up so I think we're going to be too busy to think about much else - distractions are great and camping sounds lovely!

Boc86 · 20/07/2020 11:03

Thank you, it was a locum. A young lad and I think I terrified him with all my talk of ttc lol

LeopardLover · 20/07/2020 11:49

@Boc86 I definitely prefer the younger doctors!! They tend to run more tests and be more thorough (in my experience). Fingers crossed!

I’m having a missed miscarriage. Had 4 tablets put up the vag, and have had to lay down for an hour.

Then get to go home and wait it out.

Means I’ll definitely be on the August bus with you guys.

Thankfully they’re sending me home with codeine. I’ve never had a miscarriage before, but I’ve only ever read horror stories

krj2608 · 20/07/2020 12:22

@Sansa87 I'm so sorry, I hope you are ok.

Lots of rest, please take it easy and a tonne of chocolate.

Boc86 · 20/07/2020 12:40

Oh no @Sansa87 I’m so sorry :(

whambam89 · 20/07/2020 12:51

@sansa87 so so sorry to hear that, try and get plenty of rest and look after yourself x

BuckleUp · 20/07/2020 13:54

@Sansa87 sorry to hear of your loss. Sounds like you're in good medical hands though, and the confirmation may help you to move on at your own pace. Take time to look after yourself. Thinking of you and your OH xx

LeopardLover · 20/07/2020 14:14

@Sansa87 Oh I am so so sorry to hear this 😔 We're all here if you need to talk. I'm glad you have painkillers, like the others have said please take it easy. Thinking of you. Xx

Blossom428 · 20/07/2020 14:28

Sorry to hear this @Sansa87 Very sad to go through this, but seems like you have remained very positive and keen to continue trying straight away which is brilliant- don't they say you are also more fertile after a miscarriage, so when you are ready hopefully it will be as quick as your first!

Rest up and take time for yourself! x

MrsBtobe2020 · 20/07/2020 17:11

@sansa87 so sorry to hear what you've been through, keep your chin up and take care of yourself xx

Sansa87 · 20/07/2020 17:54

Thankyou. Oh has set me up in bed with towels on the carpet on the route to the en-suite.

Watching Hamilton with tea on demand.

Had a few cramps, so taken the pain killers before it kicks off properly

Do you have a hot water bottle to hand? That helped with mine x
Sansa87 · 20/07/2020 21:01

@krj2608 I have a hot water bottle, & microwave unicorn.

Codeine has kicked in, & feel high as a kite. No progress just yet, so killing time by calculating when I should ovulate.

MrsB2019x · 20/07/2020 23:37

So sorry @Sansa87 💕 try and look after yourself. We’re here if you need to vent xx

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 21/07/2020 06:28

So sorry to hear this @Sansa87.
How are you this morning? x

Sansa87 · 21/07/2020 08:31

Morning, the tablets don’t seem to have worked 😔 other than a lot of cramping nothing has happened

stickytoffeepud2412 · 21/07/2020 09:29

Hi ladies can I join please 🥰

First month officially TTC after last month was not preventing but not actively trying.

I was 1 day late so I tested and BFN then when I went to wipe there AF was 😅

Due to ov between 1-6st August!

I have a DD who is 4 in December so would be nice to potentially time it with summer hols before she starts school!

Xx

PlutosHeart · 21/07/2020 09:51

Hello all, hope I'm OK to join? This is my first every post on this site!

Ttc for 4 months now, AF showed her face this morning. Feeling rubbish, I'm only 28 and feel like it should he happening quicker. I think my issue is that nobody speaks about the 'average time' it takes to get pregnant, all I see are the people who got pregnant by accident or it happened quickly for them. So a bit down in the dumps!

And I know what waiting 4 months so far isn't really that long either.... 🙄

kirinm · 21/07/2020 09:52

@sansa87 so sorry to hear about your missed miscarriage. Did they say the tablets would work straightaway? Do you have anyone you can contact to ask for some advice?

I had my MMC treated surgically so don't have any experience of the tablets but in the nicest possible way (if that is possible) i hope things start moving for you so you can try and move on from this. MMC seem so so cruel. I hope you're getting lots of support from DH too.
