Ovulation buddies starting July 8-14

Hey everyone,

Anyone else just started ovulation or about to start in the next week. Let's start a chat and keep ourselves busy as we head through ovulation and the dreaded 2WW.

Little about me this is my 2 cycle at TTC Baby no.1 I'm about to start ovulation on fri or sat, so going to make the most of this week. I've ordered some IC ovulation sticks hopefully will arrive in next couple days and I will give them a try out. What is everyone else doing to prepare themselves for ovulation???

Haha I can't give any tips, this time i used Internet cheap opks and I ovulate earlier than my app said! And concieved the first cycle I used them, I am very lucky! Taken a clear blue as I belive that more than anything and yes here it is! Still shocked. Baby dust to all x x x

How many DPO are you?

It’s so hard not to symptom spot! Had crampy feeling all afternoon and fell asleep after dinner which I NEVER do😕

I don't know what tips I'd give but I do know that I used clear blue OPK's, I didn't have sex on the 3 days leading up to my ovulation only one day before and one day after! I also tilted my bum up and lay for 15 mins. I haven't drank alcohol in about a month and gave up coffee for decaf! Not sure if any of these things help but good to share, thanks so much ♥️♥️

I also spotted some brown blood (TINY) amount as in a teardrop or two.. yesterday and got my BFP that day x

I'm 12dpo according to an app, the clear blue also wasn't fmu, it was afternoon. Good luck all x x

How does everyone get around the subject of alcohol? we are not wanting to tell family and friends we are trying but are both very sociable people and generally like to have a few glasses here and there but I feel it will be very obvious if I am not drinking. Any experience of this or advice on how to navigate away from the obvious conversations.

Good question! I've struggled quite a bit during social situations and quite a few people have joked about me being pregnant due to not drinking which until now hasn't been true. Could you say your having a detox? Maybe take your own drinks but they are 0% alcohol? It is easy to notice though if they are non alcoholic if anyone pays attention. Good luck!

Forgot to add - my line is getting ever so slightly darker thank god. I am sending so much baby dust to you all!

So woke up and tested with a FarER and there is the slightest line there they daily a line is a line so I'm holding on to this Hope hope the line gets darker and isn't evap it indent. I so want this to be real

@Gab101 thank you so much for your response it's nice to hear what experiences other people have had. Since we postponed our wedding it's all we get asked and I just want it to be a surprise if we are lucky enough to conceive.

@Tiff94 I do think I can see a very faint line.

So it turns out I'm not out. It's been really weird. I had awful cramps and backache yesterday, had a look and had some spotting so was convinced AF had arrived. Had cramps all night but woke up this morning and my temp has gone up slightly, cramps gone and no more spotting.

Thanks girls literally it's such a faint line barely can see in the photo but definitely can see better on it. I'm 13dpo today so have another FRER here so might test again either later or tomorrow.

@Alice222 that's very strange has this happened anytime before maybe do a test and see ?

@lastbany maybe time for a FRER then all my cheapies was BFN I've heard though some cheapie don't show until your almost 5/6weeks so it could be that.

@Tiff94 No never happened before. Usually cramps mean AF has already arrived. I'm out of tests now so might have to pick up some more. Though I might wait until AF is due now, which is Friday if I can wait. Fed up of seeing BFNs now.

@BabyH88 I don't drink often anyway so my friends are used to me not drinking. But I can think of a few excuses like you're driving, on antibiotics or already hungover. But I guess if you keep using excuses people might get suspicious eventually.
