Hey everyone,

I am 12DPO today and have got positives on 2 tests.

I don’t want to tell my husband just yet incase something goes wrong, don’t know if this is just me being stupid or overthinking!
I also want to tell him in a nice way so he will be really surprised.

Just wondering what point you told your partners and how?

Thank you! X

My husband was a week away from his dissertation deadline when I found out. I didn't want to derail his concentration so decided to wait until it had been handed in ... except I accidentally left the positive test on the side that same day and he found it! All was well, he still got a first. And a daughter later that year Smile

I told my husband around and hour after I took the test as he was away for a few days and I was getting ready to go to work that night. It was only a cheap test that I took, he told me that he's back the following night and we'd buy a clear blue test and do another. I've got to say it was one of the best moments of my life seeing his reaction to a positive test. He was unbelievably happy.

I understand that you don't want to tell your husband in case something happens. But what if something did happen? Are you able to cope with the emotional and mental stress of that on your own? Would you not want your husband to support you through it?

At the end of the day it took both of you to become pregnant so why not tell him straight away?

Congratulations Smile
About 30 mins after my first positives. They were just on cheap one step tests and we were going out for the day and I wanted to go and buy a FRER while we were out.
We had been TTC for 6 months and I would've wanted him to know whatever the outcome even worst cast scenario for support.

About 30 seconds after I saw the second line I shoved the test under his face saying “bloody hell look at that!” Wish I had thought of something more elegant but I was too excited Grin

Thanks everyone!

I’m so excited to see his reaction as it’s our first baby Smile I read somewhere that shouldn’t take it as a positive until 16DPO which is Friday so was planning to tell him then as I have a day off work. If I don’t blurt it out beforehand!

I think I’m partly in shock really! 🙈

With my ex I did my test in a pub restaurant toilet Grin and told him when I went back to the table. If I'm pregnant with my current partner we have decided to look at the test at the same time Smile

@Teacaketotty something I'd do LOL!
