Missed period advice

Hi,

I’m just after a bit of advice as I don’t want to discuss with people who know me and I don’t want to overreact and book in with a doctor.

I had the nexplanon implant removed on 9th January, got my first period on 23rd April (no bleed at all before that) and my next on 28th May. Based on this, I expected my next one around 2nd July (35 days) but it never arrived despite having bloating, backache, headaches etc. I’ve done a few tests including an FRER with FMU today and they are all negative.
Should I be concerned about a missed period yet? The NHS site suggests going to see a doctor but only after 3 missed periods? My main concern is that I’m almost 32 and TTC #1 so don’t want to leave it too long but then I also don’t want the doctor to think I’m ridiculous for visiting them already?
Sorry for the ramble and thanks in advance for any advice Smile

Hi

I also had my implant out in the first week of jan came on in feb and again at the end of March, but not had a period since. I contacted my doctors after about 2 weeks after missing my period and they advised to call back if I miss another. It's now been 100+ since and my GP had been great sent me for bloods and got a ultrasound booked for 2 weeks time. I would defo call your doctors and see that they advise

Hope your AF arrives soon

It’s so frustrating isn’t it. You just assume you’ll come off of contraception and your body will be back to normal 🙈
Thank you. I think I’ll give it two weeks from AF expected date and if nothing appears I’ll give them a ring. Worst they can do is tell me to allow more time I suppose.
I hope you can get some answers soon.
