@smileyT looks like the standard easy at home is 25ml sensitivity and femometer is 20ml, so you'd expect the femometer to have a darker line I think?
Have you felt any more symptoms? All looks positive for you so far, fingers crossed x

Emsnewmum · 06/07/2020 14:12

@nothernsoul90

Don't worry at all about asking it is so hard to keep track on this thread I'm always worried i might say something wrong.

I went for natural misscarriage and I bled really heavily with huge clots for 3 weeks before I finally got admitted so I'm not sure what caused the infection to be honest they never said.
I just wish I had a ultrasound machine at home so I could see what my body is doing.

I think you just become supersensitisupersensitibe to ether ache and pain in your body after. I've never really had anything as big as this before I think the blood transfusion freaked me out and I stopped trusting my body.

So sorry you are having to wait to ttc it's so hard because you don't know how long it will take once you try to concieve. I will say one thing though I got a new job just before I found out I was pregnant and wasn't concentrating on my cycle and measuring every ( I was definitely still trying) and then I thought I wasn't pregnant but ended up being I feel like I'd given my self a break from the stress and it hraped.

But I know it's almost impossible not to think about it so close after loosing but im going to try and focus on my health and diet etc and that might help my stress levels too.

X

@Sophj19 what surgical options have they offered you? I had an ERPC under general anaesthetic and thst would be the option I'd take if I ever had to go through it again. As @SmileyT said it was quick, the staff are so so lovely and caring. I was home within a couple of hours. I did have some retained tissue but that is very rare and passed three weeks later after a further scan. I would personally what to know if the tissue came back with any reason as to why I had miscarried. I really hope you are okay xxx

@SmileyT almost the same with the readings interestingly a few percent difference nothing noteworthy! Interesting with the strength of the lines. I'd be peeing on a stick the second I vommed 😂😂😂 but don't mind me and my crazy impatience. Yeah wed-fri for now and then from 3rd Aug when I go back to work she will go mon-fri xx

@SmileyT are you tempted to test early? xx

Northernsoul90 · 06/07/2020 14:39

@Emsnewmum oh right okay thank you! You really do worry about every little thing... I think you are right sometimes just switching off and not trying to read into every little thing helps.

Sorry that you had a rough time with infection 😣. It just seems so cruel to go through a mc and then have complications as well. Yes rest and looking after your health sounds like a good idea and it definitely won’t do any harm. I hope you can ttc soon 🤞🏼 xx

Sophj19 · 06/07/2020 14:51

@littletandme did you have to stay in for long after it? Thank you for replying xx

@MichT4 I’m not sure how long I’d have to stay in for they didn’t say, I had to ring them after my appointment last week I didn’t take anything in after the scan. I’ll ask when I go Wednesday though xx

@SmileyT yes it does seem to be the “quicker” option and I’ve heard so many stories of how the medication doesn’t always work. Did you feel okay after it? Cramps wise? X

@GraceG26 how awful for you both! Thank you for sharing- you have helped have you been offered any testing as it was your 3rd? They don’t get any easier do they? Xx

Sophj19 · 06/07/2020 14:52

@VP91x I’m not sure I didn’t really ask as I had to ring them the next day because I didn’t listen to a word they said 😩I may ask them if they could do it under local as I really don’t want to stay in xx

VP91x · 06/07/2020 14:58

@Sophj19 yeah just double check with them what your options are and then you can make a proper decision. I got there at 09.00ish and was home by 11.30am - think about 10.00am they took me in for the procedure. I hated the thought of getting it done under local but of course everyone is different xxx

OP posts:
Northernsoul90 · 06/07/2020 15:21

@Sophj19 Making the decision is hard, I decided to have a surgical procedure under local (mva) as they were not doing any under general due to covid. I just wanted it over and I had heard that medial management can fail and then you may need a procedure anyway so I decided to go for it. Everyone is different though... I have written about my experience on another thread which I can link if you want to know more about mva. It depends what options are available at your hospital as well though. I hope you are doing okay xxx

GraceG26 · 06/07/2020 15:21

@Sophj19 yes, I've been offered testing at the recurrent MC clinic once I'm discharged from Charing Cross as my most recent MC was a molar pregnancy.
The last year has been a journey, that's for sure. I would recommend the surgical removal, only because you know everything is cleared sooner for you to try again when you're mentally ready. There is also potentially the opportunity for you have your tissues sent off for testing. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough of my tissue to be tested for cytogenetics.

Diorissimo1985 · 06/07/2020 15:23

@VP91x so kind of you to do the list with testing dates this morning! Keeping us all on track 😂
I think (?) AF is due between 23-27 July (my apps disagree 😂) so perhaps I will test 25 or 26 July? Only cd7 at the moment x

Sophj19 · 06/07/2020 15:30

@Northernsoul90 thank you, I think I’ve read it already and did find it helpful.
I will be asking again if they can send the tissue for testing as I feel that will sway my decision. If they can send for testing I think I’ll go with the surgical whatever it is and if they can’t then I’d rather try the medication at home. Worrying about work as it will be my 3rd “sickness” in 5 months so will result in a meeting with HR.
@GraceG26 I’m so sorry to hear that, but am glad you’ve been referred. Im worried to start TTC again as I’m terrified of another MC and want to wait for tests first but no idea how long they will take x

fafi · 06/07/2020 15:31

@VP91x Thanks for the list it's really nice to be able to see who your cycle buddies are Star 💕

🥇 Admin award for you!

VP91x · 06/07/2020 15:36

@Sophj19 do work not know why you've been off? You can't get any type of written warning or anything if they know the reason so don't worry! Xx

@Diorissimo1985 @fafi added you and you're welcome!🥰

Sophj19 · 06/07/2020 15:54

@VP91x yes I work in a school and the head knows why. 1 of my previous sickness (2days) was because of my last MC too x

Dipsy77 · 06/07/2020 16:01

Does anyone know if there is a pregnancy after miscarriage thread I could lurk on ?, not ready for any pregnancy threads yet but would like a thread

Where people are feeling as anxious as me xx

Tink20058 · 06/07/2020 16:46

@Dipsy77 hi a few of us from off here are in a WhatsApp group It’s good for support if you message @mumoftwobeauts I’m sure she will add you xx

SmileyT · 06/07/2020 17:00

@mrsssk nope no other symptoms at all 😩

@VP91x yeah I had a feeling that they wouldn't be that different on the contrast, I've had different batches of opks from the same brand and the control line seems completely different, guess that's the good thing about using an app no having to use our brains to analyse 😂 well at least you get to both wean yourself off of full-time together xx

@MichT4 well i was speaking to my friend about testing early and she actually raised a good point that I don't know if the sperm has been meeting the egg and not implanting so maybe that would be good to know. Normally test at 11/12dpo anyway so maybe I'll do that again but with an early response to see if anything shows up 🤔 you had a good day at work? xx

@Sophj19 reading everyone's stories I realise that it's so individual but afterwards I was absolutely fine, on the day I did have some cramps but nothing worse than AF and the anaesthetic was wearing off (1st time I've had it so felt strange) but after that I was fine, physically at least. I didn't even have any follow up they just sent me on my way and that was it, if I had to go through it again I'd probably ask for follow up bloods x

VP91x · 06/07/2020 17:14

@SmileyT haha yeah, I think I prefer them though 🤔. I just got some interesting CM, creamy white coloured but stretchy, not full on EWCM 🤷

Will you test tomorrow or Wednesday if you're going early? Xx

OP posts:
MichT4 · 06/07/2020 17:33

@SmileyT how exciting! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼
Yeah work was ok actually, fairly busy today. I just had a little nap on the sofa, just a quick one, not done that in a while. Lovely!
Are you done for today now?

@VP91x gosh it sounds like things are happening already for you! Are you still gulping the grapefruit juice?

VP91x · 06/07/2020 17:34

@MichT4 haha yeah I drink a glass or two a day, last month I had loads of days with it too. Odd xx

OP posts:
SmileyT · 06/07/2020 17:44

@MichT4 yep all done and home and showered now, I took myself off early as compensation for my bad journey in 😂 I'm glad you've had a nap need to get all the rest you can. Feeling okay physically today? xx

@VP91x ooh that CM sounds positive I feel like mine goes like that before full on EWCM so hopefully you are getting towards fertile window, when are you starting DTD later this week? And as long as temps stay high I'll test Wednesday morning, I've only got CB do you recommend getting a FRER instead? xx

elliew818 · 06/07/2020 17:49

@SmileyT the sickness is a very unpleasant good sign! I'd be testing straight away like a loon lol my DH reckons i should test on Wednesday again to bring me back down to earth before AF arrives!

VP91x · 06/07/2020 17:50

@SmileyT yeah I think once I start getting darker OPKs/smileys after tomorrow then get to it. I'm being so lazy this month, but can't be dealing with OH having another meltdown, I'd kill him 😂.

See, FRERs are only marginally more sensitive. Im assuming you have the CB early one? I reckon you'll be fine with that. I've always used CB until MN came into my life 😂 xx
