@mrsssk Thanks I had my MMC February but didn't stop bleeding while April so 3rd cycle xx

VP91x · 06/07/2020 11:58

@MichT4 hahs it'll be on eBay before you know it. Just done my OPK, felt back to normal dipping a stick in something - been a while 😂 xx

MichT4 · 06/07/2020 11:59

@VP91x 😂😂😂 I know! I have itchy feet wanting to dip a stick. Is this the start of a new living room decoration? xx

Dipsy77 · 06/07/2020 12:01

@MichT4 I changed my Ava to pregnancy mode and it doesn't teach your rhr which is probably a good thing. I've decided to sell it don't want any further stress with mine, I only used it a month although it said I ovulated a week earlier than I did. I may have to take my fit bit off because I am checking rhr every 5 mins xx

mrsssk · 06/07/2020 12:03

@MichT4 did a test on 25th June (CD 29) which was a BFN as expected but think I've ovulated since then on 29/30 June so am hopefully 7DPO on the worlds longest cycle.
I had really sore boobs yesterday but that's about it! If I get a BFN when I test on 14 July I'm calling up the GP as should really have got AF by then.
My MC was at 7.5 weeks so still quite early so would have expected my body to sort itself out by now 🤷🏽‍♀️

VP91x · 06/07/2020 12:04

@MichT4 haha, craft time! I'll probably keep them yeah. Using easy@home ones this month so not as used to the way the lines are compared to femometer xx

Emsnewmum · 06/07/2020 12:07

@VP91x
I don't think il be on the list this month I emailed the misscarriage association and they said ttc may lead to infection and after last time maybe i shouldn't risk it.

Feeling super rubbish about it all thought I could just get right back to it but I've also started cramping too. It's at times like these im desperate to get back to work so the waiting for things to settle down wouldnt feel so long .

Hope you are all well and that the start of a new week brings good things for everyone x

MichT4 · 06/07/2020 12:10

@Dipsy77 oh interesting, so does it just do temp then? Even so, like you say, I'll go mad with it. Mine didn't move ovulation either. I read that after the first month, you need to reboot it or something, it then amends ovu date and uses that going forward. But no need to worry about that now!
I agree, even before I'd panic about movements in temp and it just isn't worth worrying about now - could be anything.

@mrsssk I guess late ovulation would be an explanation but definitely call your GP if you get to that point. Hopefully you won't be needing to call.

@VP91x what's the difference?

xx

VP91x · 06/07/2020 12:18

@Emsnewmum oh no, I'm sorry. Look after yourself and let your body recover then you'll be in the best place to TTC again when everything has settled, hope you are okay ❤️

@MichT4 the lines are alot more prominent on the easy@home. This is the comparison with the Femometer both dipped in the same sample when I just done it. Xx

@VP91x wow that actually is really different. The new ones look like it won’t be long! xx

mrsssk · 06/07/2020 12:25

@VP91x the difference between those is absolutely ridiculous! I've got a 50 pack of Femometer to get through, I'm considering POAS 5 x a day now to use them up and get some Easy @ Home lol

fafi · 06/07/2020 12:26

@Rebecca1992 I've been doing OPKs and tracking BBT! I quite OPKs a few months ago because I never got a strong line / + test so just stuck to BBT. But after my MC I gave myself a weird bargain that if any of my left over OPKs were + we would TTC this month! Low and behold we have +OPKs on Sat and Sun (which is later in my cycle than my usual ovulation) so we have DTD over the weekend. Let's see now!

How about you?

VP91x · 06/07/2020 12:33

@mrsssk @MichT4 I just kept seeing loads of people on other threads using them and thought I'd try them! I think they might be more sensitive or better dye not sure.

@mrsssk it is astonishing how quickly I get through OPKs, 😂😂 I did get a clear peak on femometer ones the cycle before last so they are good!

OP posts:
Dipsy77 · 06/07/2020 12:36

@MichT4 it doesn't do temp either xx

MichT4 · 06/07/2020 12:42

@Dipsy77 oh really? How strange. Guess it doesn’t want to give too much data to people for anxiety purposes

@VP91x @mrsssk I ordered another box full the day before my bfp. Hoping I don’t have to open them! OH is keen to know if he’s ovulating 🙄😂

xx

Emsnewmum · 06/07/2020 12:49

@VP91x yeah let's see if I stick to waiting its just so hard isn't it when you want so much to just be pregnant again.

I can't believe the difference in those tests I always thought fermometer were good it's what I use but you would not believe those are from the same sample! Looks like you def may ovulate soon! Got my fingers crossed for you!

Sophj19 · 06/07/2020 12:50

@VP91x thank you for the tag xx
I’ve been trying to step away from my phone as I’m constantly googling 🙄😩
Looking for some advice... I’ve got my NHS appointment for second scan and EPU on Wednesday and have to decide on treatment. My last two MC I passed naturally. However this time I still feel very much pregnant, so cruel. As it’s my 3rd I could have medication But would have to stay in hospital for nurses to send the tissue off for testing, if I don’t the tissue tested then I can take the medication and come straight home. I’d rather take the tablets at home because I don’t want to wait in hospital and go through it alone (they’ve said I’d have to come in on my own) but then won’t be able to have the tissue tested. Is it’s worth having the tissue tested? The surgical option scares the crap out of me and I don’t want to go through that alone either. Could anyone offer advice/share their experience please? Xx

mrsssk · 06/07/2020 12:52

@VP91x yep I bought femometer after some recommendations on this thread so will stick with them for now. They are definitely better than One Step which really tested my squinting at a line abilities.

@MichT4 wouldn't be surprised if your OH got better readings than I got on some days! lol my LH been truly non existent since the dizzy heights of a weak positive on 29th June

littletandme · 06/07/2020 13:00

@Sophj19 I'm sorry you've already gone through this twice before, that is awful. I had surgical management in May and had to be alone for that but the midwives and the consultant who did the MVA under local anaesthetic were all very lovely and calming. It wasn't pleasant at all to go through but there are pros and cons to both medical and surgical management x

MichT4 · 06/07/2020 13:04

@Sophj19 so sorry you are going through this and having to make this decision. How long would you have to be in for?
I would want the tests done, so I think I'd do the surgical route, but it's obviously totally up to what you feel comfy with. I think as @littletandme said, you will be well looked after. I know it's not the same as having someone there. Let us know what you decide xx

MichT4 · 06/07/2020 13:06

@mrsssk 😂😂 I know, I think I'll be jealous of his lines after mine peed me off so much.

@VP91x I imagine the two are going to give the same result. Perhaps the new ones are more confusing as the line looks so close to peak. We'll see how this develops. I hope you have enough Fem ones to continue the comparison journey 😂 xx

SmileyT · 06/07/2020 13:13

@VP91x oh is Bella only in Wednesday to Friday? Glad she is enjoying her tea and biscuits now and frozen 2, girl after my own heart. Strangely I have never smiled so much after being sick before 😂 however much I tell others to be positive, I don't want to get my hopes up and be disappointed. Pathetic really 🙈 also really interesting to look at the difference in the strips did femometer read them as different % or was the contract to control line the same?

@MichT4 only when ttc do people cheer if you vom at work 🥳 definitely keep the Ava off, it isn't going to help or change anything, maybe get the eBay listing ready to go because you won't need it again for another year or so x

@Sophj19 I had the surgical option as I'd previously had the medication to end a pregnancy and my friend suggested I get surgery as it was quicker. I found it so much better, I was in and out so quickly and barely any bleeding at home, within 2/3 days it was down to spotting, the surgery takes about 20mins and I was home about 90mins later. I was the first of the day and no partners allowed on the ward but if I ever had to do it again I'd definitely pick this option x

GraceG26 · 06/07/2020 13:27

@Sophj19 I am so sorry to hear you are having to make this decision. I thought I would share my experience with you.
I had my third MC back in January (no living children) and was advised to have an SMM which is the surgical miscarriage management. We found out about the MC a week before we got married and my 30th birthday.
I have to say I was very nervous about the operation and my husband was only allowed so far into the hospital/process by my side. I was looked after so well by the nurses and doctors but unfortunately when discharged, I fainted on my way out so ended up having to stay overnight. The bleeding following the operation was more than I thought it would be about a week or so later. I remember being up in the night one night just crying because I just felt as though life is so unfair.
I know the feeling when you know you're not pregnant but your body thinks you are. It's so sad. You feel sorry for your body, it's an odd feeling!
I'm not sure if I've helped in any way here. I've probably made things worse 😳 I was thankful to be able to be looked after by professionals during the most difficult time. It was hard being alone going into the operation but the nurses were absolute stars!

Northernsoul90 · 06/07/2020 13:32

@Emsnewmum so sorry that you are having to wait it’s really frustrating! I’m also waiting to ttc after mc feel a bit in limbo and you just want everything back to normal... I hope you are okay! 💖 can I ask what procedure was it you had that may increase infection risk? Sorry you’ve probably already said but the thread is hard to keep up with sometimes! Xx
