Bleeding but still getting positive results

So I started light bleeding yesterday and I’ve bleed overnight. Not as much as a period but it’s gone onto the pad, I’ve tested again this morning and it’s still positive. Is this the start of a miscarriage?

Spoke to DR yesterday and she had not intentions of scanning me to see either way

Hi lovely,

It can be common for some women to bleed through their pregnancies, what is the colour of the blood? If it continues and gets worse I would go back to the GP xx

Sarahjh86 · 04/07/2020 09:35

Just now it’s dark red so I’ve lost all hope now xx

Bless you hun I hope you're ok. They say that bright red is the worst type as it's fresh blood but any blood is worrying of course, how are you now lovely? Xx

@lilfaith2020 I’m ok very tired and the bleeding has eased off loads now so just wait and see I guess 😭

Hope you are doing OK, it's such a worry. I had all types of bleeding in both my pregnancies and miraculously held on to both of them. 25 weeks with my second now.

In my second the bleeding did hit the pad rather than just when I wipe. But it never filled the pad. Which I know is what the EPU will always ask you. That sort of heavy bleeding will often mean a miscarriage I'm afraid.

Have you had pain? Clots?

Sarahjh86 · 04/07/2020 19:14

No clots and just aches no cramping

I’ve not filled a pad but I have had a lot when I wiped at one point today

It seems to have eased off for now and back to being light

I’ve had 3 other pregnancies and never bled before so I think that’s why I’m panicking more

@sarahjh86 sorry you're going through this! How far along are you? I hope this turns out well for you, didn't want to read and run x

Sarahjh86 · 04/07/2020 20:18

Only 4 weeks so it’s a chemical miscarriage I think xx

Hi OP hope you’re ok? Did you end going to the doctors?
