Clear blue ovulation tests

So this might be a bit long so bare with me...
So, I started my period 18th June, my cycle can range from 30-35 days.
I started using the clear blue advanced digital ovulation test on 27th June and got my first flashy face on 28th. This went on until last night (2 July) and it came up with the solid face at 9pm. We’d already had sex in the morning, so all good. I’m using these tests every day, sometimes twice.
Just out of curiosity the next morning I used the clear blue ovulation test (the pink one) that just detects your peak fertility, expecting a solid face, but no it told me I’m not at my peak.
So anyway, I’ve gone to work, come home and thought I’d do another test.
I had a spare purple holder so I did both of them, and neither are saying I’m at my peak fertility.
So my question is, could my peak have been reeeaaallly short, or are the tests a load of crap?
And would you say we timed it okay by having sex in the morning, (at the time my tests said I was just at high fertility not peak) and then about 15 hours later I’m apparently at the peak?
That was super long for my first post, I’m sorry!
Just need some advice/reassurance/just someone to talk to hahaha

Yes that’s absolutely normal! The LH peak can last barely a few hours which is why it’s important to test more than once a day. If you had sex the morning of your peak that’s perfect timing x

Thanks Nat, it’s our first month ttc so I’m not quite used to all this yet!

No worries, I’m now on cycle #11 so it’s all second nature by this point 🙈 good luck

Opened a new test & now I have an empty circle. Am I covered? Can it be that short? Do I DTD again today...minds runs wild lol xx

I can’t really be of much help, since this post my periods went completely wacky and I ended up being referred to have a scan to see if I have PCOS. The cycle I had during this post ended up being around 40 days long, and my dr has said he doesn’t think I’m ovulating correctly. I’d love to help, but unfortunately I’ve stopped trying for now, so don’t have much experience 😔
