Positive pregnancy test - but at 6 weeks??

I had a period on the 18th of May, and then a very light positive which got fainter at around 17 dpo. I then had a very heavy period, which was technically 3 days late. I wrote off the last cycle and bought some more pregnancy tests for this cycle. Like the POAS addict I am, I took one today (so day 14 of cycle 2). It is positive...this is impossible right? Is the test being confused by LH or something like that? I just don't see how I can be pregnant given the chemical pregnancy I had...

Added to this, the test is still quite light, surely at 6 weeks it would be much stronger?

I’d go to your nearest epau if I were you, it could be “left over” products (no other way to say that without it sounding awful) better to get it checked out than wonder x

Ah great, thanks. Just rang my GP as EPAU is only accepting referrals. GP told me it wasn't an ectopic as my last period was the 18th of June & said I don't need a referral anyway. Which is not the case. Because the website says you need a referral....!!! ARRGGH.

Also is it possible for me to pregnant if my last period really was the 18th of June? Wouldn't that mean a cycle of less than 2 weeks which feels impossible?

And yes, could be retained products as you say...I will try to get a scan.
