Hi everyone, hope everyone is having a nice Sunday, bit windy out there!! Sorry AF got you @notyetamumbuttrying @Newbie0818 😩

lucyrp · 05/07/2020 13:48

@Cocoblue22 yeah I think I might! Il have to find someone who does it around me 😂🙈 yeah I've heard they don't grow back as much as before so that's good. I'm hoping that's the case!x

@SmileyT yeah I'm not a fan of shaving but I feel like its my only option and I always get ingrown hairs loads of them that's why I don't bother as much 😫 yeah I used to be such a skinny Minnie and I was just getting back to my normal weight and then lockdown came and I put on some pounds and I'm not feeling myself at the moment. I can't wait until the gyms are open again ! X

KateColx · 05/07/2020 13:59

@Ltay2 I'm normally a religious weekly fake tanner, but the last few weeks I've let myself go 🤣 so I've promised myself to get back to diet and looking after myself now 💁🏼‍♀️ x

@lucyrp oh my god I put jeans on last night and they were not comfortable 😅😂 it looks like our September holiday will still be going ahead so I've decided to start slimming world again from tomorrow to get some pounds off! ah that's difficult with your friend! You would think she'd be more sympathetic considering she's had it rough too. At least we all have eachother on here 🥰 X

@Cocoblue22 same! I'm starting slimming world again from tomorrow to shift some pounds. I think the jeans have been a good sign that I need to get myself sorted. The food was so good!! It's a little Mexican restaurant and we probably go once a month 😂 it's our fave! Glad you had a nice night 🥰 x

@2alreadywantanother aw it's so nice that you have someone you can talk to it all about. I feel mean because my two friends are lovely and I'm sure would be supportive, I just find it hard because neither of them tracked ovulation or anything they just stopped all contraception. X

@Katao oh the limbo is the worst 😔 hope something happens either way for you soon! Well AF isn't even due until Wednesday so I'm not sure, maybe tomorrow depending on how the rest of today goes. I feel a bit pessimistic after yesterday x

@SmileyT aw I do hope it's something positive 🤞🏻🤞🏻 especially as if it isn't I have no idea what's going on and I'll have to consider random spotting for a week before AF is due as something that could happen normally 😩 how are you feeling? Haha yes one of my friends said exactly that 'just have more sex', oh okay thanks hun that's helpful x

On the topic of waxing etc anyone had laser hair removal? I'm tempted to invest although I don't think you can have it done when pregnant and it can take a few months so might not time well x

KateColx · 05/07/2020 14:05

@Newbie0818 I think that's a really nice idea, because no one talks about how long they've been trying or issues they've had etc you always just assume it's been plain sailing for them when it may not have been at all. X

lucyrp · 05/07/2020 14:15

@KateColx I'm hating my jeans today 😭 I've been living in leggings trackies or shorts 😂 yeah that's what I was thinking but she's very bitter instead! Yess all lovely ladies 🥰x

Vil10 · 05/07/2020 14:23

So I typed a massive message out this morning replying to everyone then I got distracted and now it's gone😩 so I'm really sorry for anyone who's af has appeared, mines definitely going to be here tomorrow but breakfast in bed with a side of 🍆 this morning eased the negativeness a bit!

@Cocoblue22 @lucyrp am I seeing a convo about waxing?? I'm considering one before my holiday but just contemplating the top line, high leg and crease instead of all over because I don't know how I'll cope with getting my flaps done!!

Also a quick question for you all, if I don't fall pregnant this next cycle I'll come on my period on the second day of my holiday so I'm thinking of getting those northisterone tablets from my doctor to delay my period whilst I'm away, could this affect me anyway with TTC? I can't see them doing but want to check because I take them!

Minster2012 · 05/07/2020 14:38

@Vil10 northisterone is used in IVF to stop your periods and therefore I've been on it for relatively long periods of time, it doesn't seem to do harm, but it's not pleasant (effectively it puts your system into a temporary state of menopause by "damping down your ovaries to not ovulate" & you can get the same symptoms like hot flushes, headaches as with menopause, I did, but I've been on it for lot longer times. I'd chat to your GP about being on it for shorter time periods. I personally wouldn't go on for not a BIG reason like IVF.

Minster2012 · 05/07/2020 14:39

As it could then mean it takes time for your cycles to get regular again @Vil10 sorry posted too soon

Vil10 · 05/07/2020 14:42

@Minster2012 I've never known that about them!! I've used them quite a few times before I was on the pill years ago and all I remember was the first period after I stopped taking them was really horrible!! But you're probably right in talking to my gp first about it! It also says if you take them whilst pregnant it could cause birth defects and you need to start taking them 3 days before, so would I have to take an frer the morning I'm supposed to take them?? Because for all I know next cycle could be my month and I could fall pregnant!

Minster2012 · 05/07/2020 14:54

@Vil10 I wouldn't worry about the birth defects as it's widely used in IVF & I could look at my notes to even see if I was taking it in conjunction with stimulating my follicles I'm pretty sure it was as it was for like 6 weeks. I would just say is it worth messing with your cycles just on the off chance but I know being on AF over a holiday wouldn't be great anyway. If you did get pregnant & didn't want to say (I know you said it's not the biggest deal) then you could always feign a stomach bug as excuse to lie a bit lower & not drink xx

Franklydear · 05/07/2020 14:58

No af yet, starting to feel antsy ...

Vil10 · 05/07/2020 14:59

@Minster2012 it's so much better actually speaking to you having experience with it instead of google!! I know I'd be so annoyed if it messed my cycles up because they're back to normal now! I might make an app with my gp and see what they say! It's just the first 2 days really where I'm really heavy and in pain, but it's the whole wearing a bikini and being in a beach club when I'm on🤢 yeah that's a good idea, because ideally I the only people I would've been telling the day after a BFP was you lot and mine and OH parents maybe but even for then I'd probably want to wait a few weeks just in case!xxx

SmileyT · 05/07/2020 15:07

@lucyrp yeah think the gyms will open in July over here thank god, something else to focus on around work and ttc isn't it. And definitely give shaving a go, if you don't mind the discomfort during its so much less maintenance x

@KateColx love the have more sex comment 🙄 and everyone in my closest friendship group has had laser and loves it. My bestie has had it from her neck down basically did underarms, legs, Brazilian and literally has to shave her armpits like twice a year now 🤣

@Vil10 ooh I've never even heard of this pill, let us know what GP says, if I'm not pregnant by the time I go on hol in November this could be ideal. Also yes to a side of 🍆 can't beat it on a Sunday morning x

@Franklydear due tomorrow aren't you? Will you test first thing 🤞

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 05/07/2020 15:09

That's why I wanted to say it @Vil10 it's way better to have a little insight & make an informed decision

@Franklydear when is it due?

mumof23188 · 05/07/2020 15:11

Any ideas ladies? Think I’ve most probably ovulated earlier on in my cycle?

July Bus Bitches talking dogging and pigeon shit (Bus 10)
Vil10 · 05/07/2020 15:18

@SmileyT it is good in the sense it stops your period and for me it stopped any symptoms of it too but the first period after it I find it always a lot more painful and heavier! I'll let you all know what the gp says though!

@Minster2012 definitely!! I really appreciate it Thankyou x

Franklydear · 05/07/2020 15:19

@SmileyT @Minster2012 dye today, normally comes in the morning,...
Is it really stupid that now I am scared to test? By my calculations, 13 dpo

notyetamumbuttrying · 05/07/2020 15:45

@Katao argh always a waiting game this ttc lark isn't it! Hope something happens for you soon then!

@KateColx aww glad you enjoyed! I can't wait to get bk to normal life. Hopefully ttc won't consume my whole existence then lol! And I also get what you mean about not wanting to talk to pg women about ttc. Esp if they only took two months! My friend who's due in Nov took 9 months so I'm happy talking to her, but not many others lol! We were kinda trying at the same time so it's a bit weird that she's gonna have a baby soon and I'm still here trying to no avail!

@SmileyT glad you're all good! It's a shame you feel out already but I suppose you know when you just know don't you!

@Newbie0818 eek sorry to hear you're in pain! I'm dosing up nicely every few hours so trying to keep it at bay!

Thanks @mumof23188 it's sunny here now! It's a shame I'm in bed as I barely slept last night so need to nap now I'm bk in the comfort of my own bed. Can't beat it!

Happy Sunday everyone! 🤩

2020mission · 05/07/2020 15:52

Jumping in on the waxing chat... I'd love to try getting a wax but because I've been shaving for so long I honestly can't handle letting things grow out for long at all 😆 how long do you need to wait between waxes?

Also my husband has said "you're a bit fuzzy today" after just a couple of days when I had been lazy and skipped the shave, so I don't think he would cope well if I suddenly let it grow in to have enough for a wax.

A question for anyone who has been pregnant before - you had to leave your bikini area untouched for the weeks before labour, right? Another challenge for me there although I imagine it would be too hard to get access even if I tried at 9 months and don't imagine we'd have much action in those final weeks either.

Minster2012 · 05/07/2020 15:53

It's not stupid at all @Franklydear I think there's 2 rationale, total "god want POAS" or denial. I'm with you on this one, as in "god what if we've done it?" For you that is 😂

Minster2012 · 05/07/2020 15:53

2020mission · 05/07/2020 15:54

@Franklydear I completely get the feeling scared to test, because until AF or a negative test you are still hopeful. Praying you get some good news tomorrow. We need some more BFPs here. I've got to wait until at least Friday before I can test, and even then I'll only be 12 DPO

SarahTTC2020 · 05/07/2020 15:56

@Franklydear don't be scared, maybe just test in the morning of AF doesn't show up overnight?

2020mission · 05/07/2020 15:56

@mumof23188 how long are your cycles on average? I start doing OPKs at CD 7 and ovulated at CD 12 this month, so you may well have missed it if you waited until CD 15 to start.

SmileyT · 05/07/2020 16:03

@mumof23188 yeah I'd say definitely no surge in those pics, you could keep testing once a day for the rest of your cycle but if you were expecting to ovulate before CD15 you could just assume it's happened x

@Franklydear good luck for tomorrow and totally get being nervous, I think when you wait for your period to be late you are at the stage when you start to believe it can happen and that makes it even more nerve wracking 🤞 🤞

@2020mission yeah if you can't deal with hair it's a bit of a nightmare, I don't shave in between waxes so about a month of leaving it. Normally bare for two then starts growing think it needs to be at least 1cm to wax but it doesn't grow back like shaving does it's much less stubbly if that makes any sense. And I've never given birth but one of my best friends was definitely banging all the way up to her due date, but I guess if a guy is mentally prepared to see you give birth, which may involve you shitting yourself, he can probably deal with a bit of fluff down there 😂
