Short cycles, early ovulation - positive experiences?

Hello all,

I'm new around here!

36 years old, ttc first time around, on my 3rd cycle of trying. I have short cycles, they are 24 days. I ovulate around day 10/11.

Curious if anyone else has had positive experiences with ttc with short cycles and early ovulation? Tell me about your cute babies to make me less nervous (my GP said not to worry, but... you know how it is).

Thanks!

I have 25 day cycles and ovulate on CD11.

I was ovulating on CD7/8 but managed to push it back by taking B6 (100mg a day).

I have got pregnant 5 times in the last year, unfortunately 4 were chemicals and the last one was a mmc at 11+2, but I do have 2 older children.

I did start taking Ubiquinol to strengthen my eggs as read early ovulation doesn’t give the egg time to mature. It was on the Ubiquinol cycle I stayed pregnant but unfortunately ended in an mmc.

I am back on all the tablets now as want some strong eggs waiting for when I can try again.

I’m still very hopeful for myself xx

Thanks @LosingtheTTCplot - I hope you are able to conceive as well. Sorry you've been through such a rough year!

I have read a few medical studies that say early ovulation isn't necessarily a problem, it's more of an issue to have a longer luteal phase (between ovulation and AF). So fingers crossed - but I will keep your supplements written down in case I find I'm not having any success.

A normal luteal phase is between 10 and 16 days. Yours is perfect!

Thank you so much @ShowOfHands! Comforting to hear.

@LosingtheTTCplot sorry u know this is a really old post. I ovulate day 10/11 and ovulate later if I take ubiquinol. Just wondering if you ended up having success?

Redpanda21 · 07/03/2022 20:47

@Katie567 yes! Breastfeeding my 4 week old at the moment!

My periods disappeared after the mmc until November 2020 due to an infection but conceived in May 2021 and just had my little boy last month.

Good luck xx

Yes, what PP wrote - your cycle is on the sorter side, but not short (everything over 21 days is considered "normal"). Your luteal phase is ideal.
There are some supplements that can help lenghten your cycles if you want to. It wouldn't do any harm if your follicles had more time to develop I suppose?
Ubiquinol is one, and evening primrose oil another one. I have 31 day cycles, it didn't have any effect on my cycles but I guess that's alright :) but I heard lots of positive things about other posters that were in a similar position.
