Started spotting last night which I know can be ok in early pregnancy, I am supposedly 4 weeks 4 days but took one of the cheapie tests I have this morning and it’s now come up negative, so should I be looking at wether this spotting will turn into my period? Can a cheapie test show negative after its shown positive and should I go buy a better test today? I actually feel numb waited so long and now it feels like it’s ended before it’s even begun

I'm so sorry, I can hear your pain. Whatever happens from here this time is rough and I'm sorry you're going through it.

I think the honest answer is that anything could happen from here. At this early stage (I don't know how long ago you got your bfp) test results could be variable depending on the brand/batch, time of day, or how much you've drunk etc. The spotting could be from the ongoing implantation process, it could be absolutely fine, and spotting really is quite common in early pregnancy. There's not really any way of knowing until it plays out unfortunately, and I know that's so tough.

From experience, I would say that doing more tests at this early stage might just give you more ambiguous results to agonise over which won't help regardless of how it turns out, but you should do what you think might help you, and if you find it hard to trust the cheapies then maybe an FRER would help you feel a bit more settled right now.

@welllsawthatcoming thank you for your honest answer, You have made me feel
better, it so hard to decipher wether it’s normal or not, I guess it’s because I’ve had a negative now that I’m thinking the worst, they are crappy tests but they did pick it up in the first place so I guess now it’s just a wait and see game, thanks again

I'm glad if that helped a bit. Really hope it's a good outcome for you.
