Hey

Me and my fiancé have been TTC for a few months now but I wanted some suggestions on what worked for you to conceive.

TIA x

Hi. Clear blue fertility sticks so we could identify peak days!

Dionysius · 28/06/2020 23:43

Soy isoflavones...only if menstrual cycle is longer than average cycle. Worked for me twice.

Pol96 · 28/06/2020 23:46

First month I tracked using opks and temping I conceived, I also took a prenatal vitamin.

Twizbe · 28/06/2020 23:48

Eurovision and giving up trying lol.

In all seriousness though, knowing my cycles and having lots of sex

marcus242628 · 28/06/2020 23:50

Knowing what can cause infertility ie diclofenac and presumably this wont be the only medication. Drug manufacturers well aware but it used to be still prescribed without a warning. Hopefully that has changed but worth checking if you take anything.

For me, discovering I had undiagnosed coeliac disease and coming off gluten! But also tracking ovulation and knowing my cycle inside out and having a LOT of sex leading up and during ovulation.

DontStandSoClose · 28/06/2020 23:57

Both being healthy to start with, knowing my body (when I ovulate - you don’t need to spend a fortune on monitors or apps.) and just having sex. If you are healthy you shouldn’t really need to do anything bar have regular sex.

No idea. But I did this:

Ovulation sticks.
Sex every other day.
Vitamin D.
Reduced sugar consumption.

I conceived dc 3 and 4 this way within 2 months (and another that I miscarried). When I was much younger, I conceived twins by basically being lax with contraception and lots of sex, so it’s probably also luck.

@SaigonSaigon would you mind sharing what were your symptoms that got you into thinking you might had Coeliac disease? Thank you.

Littlebee1990 · 29/06/2020 10:48

Clearblue ovulation sticks
Took folic acid everyday
Boyfriend took wellman
DTD everyday of fertile window
Laid on back and put legs in air against wall for 15 mins after sex

🤞🏼For a sticky bean as I’m only 4+2 ❤️

Spinksy9 · 29/06/2020 12:08

I've only just tested positive after 6 months of trying. Each month I tracked everything! Was careful with what I ate and drank. Had sex like it was going out of fashion
Until it came to June and I said no. I ate and drank what I wanted. Didnt track anything! Only had sex 3 times (once in fertile window) and bloody enjoyed just not having to second guess anything.
And it worked!
Only 4 weeks so 🤞 it all goes to plan.
But honestly, it's TRUE when they say once you stop trying you'll get pregnant

SaigonSaigon · 29/06/2020 12:15

@Sageda

Symptoms were miscarriages (I already had a child conceived with ease, but had years of trouble with No.2). Had a great consultant who discovered this plus a Vit D deficiency. I don't think its routinely checked for. I was lucky having it discovered. Don't know what triggered the Coeliac disease, but maybe the first pregnancy.

Cheap ovulation tests
Sex every other day (max 2 days in between on occasion)
