Getting pregnant while breastfeeding

Hi ladies, has anyone gotten preggers while breastfeeding? My 11 month old is still a boobie addicted baby and shows no signs of stopping, as she refuses to eat more than a few bites at each meal. She'll fall off the growth chart if I abruptly stop breastfeeding her. Is there a way to get my cycles back while maintaining this breastfeeding momentum? Thank you

Me! DS2 was 6 months when I fell. I had had no periods prior to that so I had no idea I was even pregnant until I thought I had stomach flu. Did a test to be sure and I was 3 months pregnant.

You may already be ovulating.

I'm 8 months pregnant and still feeding my 19 month old, so yes! Although I do tend to get periods back pretty quickly. I think it tends to be when night feeding settles down, altho not for me.

Yes! Five months pregnant and was still feeding a toddler, but she was feeding every two hours day and night so it wasn't as though feeding had slowed down much! My periods had been back for some time though

She has self weaned a little now that my milk has started to go/change, which has been helpful as she no longer feeds at night and only at bedtime. I think she was becoming more ready anyway so the timing was good and it was completely stress free

Thanks, ladies. I'm hoping my periods come back soon...can't believe I'm actually writing that as a wish...haha
