Spotting after smear

I have had a smear test this morning, I have had spotting just now, is that normal? It’s never happened to me before?

Yes I usually get it, don't worry.

Yes. They usually try and book you in around 2wks before your period to prevent this. But if you go in anytime after that, chances are you will spot a bit.

Hi. Lovely. I'm a nurse that does smears. Absolutely normal to spot for a few days after. Nothing to worry about at all. Pain or bleeding after sex, unexplained bleeding in the middle of your cycle all need investigation xx
