Hi

8dpo for Me today and getting a little concerned are the pains I am getting. Left abdominal area almost identical to ovulation and not like period cramps, a dull pain but it's painful in my groin and lower back now.
Anyone had this before? Could it be cysts or would they be more painful at ovulation?

I had a full on sharp pain like this in my left ovary area, made me gasp and double over, about 5DPO the month I got pregnant. Felt really different to other pains in that area so I remembered it.

Later saw on my 12 week scan that I’d ovulated from that side (and got pregnant) and had a small cyst on that ovary that apparently secretes hormones to help with implantation. Not a problematic issue. I got stabby pains in that area until I was about 11 weeks pregnant. Might be the same thing?

Thanks @BuffaloCauliflower, that's interesting! fingers crossed for me too. It's exactly the same pain as ovulation so must be from my ovaries. Seems to have eased off since this morning but still there

Yeh this was a one off proper pain but then fairly regular twinges. Fingers crossed for you Smile

Hey! I’m having the exact same pains in my right ovary! Exactly like ovulation pains but I’m 8dpo, how are you guys doing?

So I did quite a bit of research on this! I think it could be a corpus luteum cyst which is actually when you read up about it a good thing as it's a positive sign you've ovulated.

It's a cyst that grows where the egg follicle would of left, they usually go on their own. Mine has now stopped at 11dpo

Whether it's true or not I thought I'd share!
