Hoping for reassurance...I conceived my son on cycle 2 whereas we've been TTC a 2nd child for 8mths with no luck. I had just turned 34 when I conceived my son, I'm 36.5 now so nervous about my age.

Anyone else conceive their first quickly, but take much longer for their second?

Hi! I hope I can help. I conceived my first baby on cycle 3 and recently got my BFP for my second baby on cycle 9. I was 31 with my first and now I am 33 (my husband is a few years older)
I was starting to feel very anxious trying for baby number 2 as I felt like it was taking ages, I even had scans booked to rule out any damage from my previous c-section as I was convinced my scarring was stopping me from conceiving (I had to have surgery on my womb due to complications)
I think for me because I found it so 'easy' conceiving baby number 1, I just assumed baby number 2 would be just as quick. I got caught up in googling secondary infertility and I was really messing myself up emotionally. The month I conceived with my second was the month I told my husband I didn't want to track/try. I relaxed my diet (let myself have caffeine and wine!) and I deleted my Flo app. It was freeing!
Wishing you good luck and hope you get your BFP very soon Smile

@ilikepalmtrees thanks for your response, that's exactly what I'm hoping to hear!
