Does anyone else look for faint lines compulsively?

I've done so many tests and still not had anything approaching a strong positive, but every test seems to show an insanely faint line, most likely evaporation or indent lines.
But I can't stop squinting and looking for them under the strongest lights in the house. I feel like I've gone crazy!

Not crazy, I’m sure we all do it! I’ve been squinting and holding this up to the window since 6AM and I think for once I’m maybe not imagining it!! But trust me.. everyone does the same

Little bee, how many dpo are you? That looks like a line to me, and I've looked at several (hundred) in my time!

@florababy84 do you have any pictures of tests you can share with us.
Also I have recently turned into a compulsive tester! I just can't help myself.

Oh yes, hold it in different lights, shine the phone torch on it, take it out of the bins hours later so look at it again....

Yes! I’m not trying to conceive but when I have done a test I always see a very, very faint line.

Exact same here - the ridiculous thing is, when I did have a BFP (it didn't last) you don't need to squint but the hope does mad things to me....
I dread to think how much I've spent/am spending on tests.....

Yes the expense is dreadful. I really need to order a big pack of cheapies online.

@Icouldstillbejoseph The line I got when pregnant with my DS was so clear, it came up thick and strong as soon as the moisture hit the test, no waiting, no squinting! So silly that I think a line could be positive when it only shows very faint in strong light or when the test is pulled apart.

Been testing since about 8DPO (way to early, I know, I was curious), I am now 13DPO and still seeing BFNs, but I take photos and squint and invert the colours to see if there is anything at all!

My apps are now confusing me as AF is either due today or Saturday depending which one you look at, so not sure if still hope or not!
(I know you're not out until you are out, but you hear of so many people getting BFPs before now I feel like maybe it won't happen this month!)

It's hard not to do isn't it? I've decided I hate tests, I've just posted two tests for people to give me their opinions on as I have no idea if they are just evaps, indents or actual lines.

Oh and it's not just my own tests that I'm obsessed with - I like looking at other people's too. I need to get a life

Lol you can both look at mine if you like? Top test is a different one to the bottom, one set with a filter the other is without. I'm thinking evaps?

Thanks for your reply, at least I know I'm not seeing things. Yeah both within the time but really hard to make out if it has colour. I'm trying to hold off testing for a few days now and see what I get then but it's hard!

Lol this made me giggle! I am resisting at the moment but I have no idea how long my will power will last 😂

I am worried I would become a FRER addict and it would cost me a fortune 😬

I am using ICs but obviously they're 25miu and a bit of me just hopes I am a bit slow on the hormone levels and it will suddenly appear one morning!

Sorry if TMI but does anyone struggle to hold for 4 hours to get a strong FMU reading? I drink so much at the minute I think I wee about every 3 hours - even getting up in the night! Not sure if it could lead to squinters all the time?

Yeah I think with drinking so much with the heat here at the moment it's hard to get a strong fmu to test with. We need to cross our legs and hold for as long as possible lol 😂

I've done another test today and I think if I squint like mad there is a faint line but that's not a good sign so I think I am out. Guessing the other two tests have evaps....
