Hi everyone, first time on a forum so not caught up on all the abbreviations yet, please bear with us Smile

We are a couple of 9 years and now feel we’re in the right mind set and financially ready to have a baby!

I went on the depo back in 2011 aged 15 which stopped all periods instantly and continued to use this contraceptive method until late 2016 in which my periods started again almost straight after the last shot and I haven’t been on anything since. We weren’t exactly being careful, but no baby happened, we put the first year or 2 to the depo wearing off but it’s been nearly 4 years now with still no sign of anything baby wise.
Struggling to get into the doctors for an appointment to see if anything else is wrong at the moment for obvious reasons, just wondering if anybody else has had similar experiences with the depo?

Thank you in advance for any replies Smile

Hi, you sound similar to myself. I came off depo Dec 18 and had regular periods since. We’ve been TTC for 12 months (probs say 6 cycles actively) and it’s hard to know how to say how much fertility is affected as it says can take 2 years to go back to normal.
I did a private day 3 blood test a couple of weeks ago for about £80 which gave me some peace of mind that all my hormone levels are right. Do you take any supplements? I used to get really sore boobs (which indicates high progesterone) before AF but started on some coq10 etc and that’s completely gone and my cycle just feels a bit more normal so trying to keep hope!
My doctors are opening more and more and they should do blood tests still so it’s worth a call?

Sorry just processed that you had been trying doctors but I would encourage you to keep up with!
