Hi everyone,

I wonder if anyone is experiecing the same/ has in the past.

Im on month 6 of TTC, and have been averaging cycles 32 days. I have taken pregnancy tests every 4 days since AF was late, different brands from clear blue to cheapies. The nurse said I could have a blood test at the end of the week to check/ see if anything else is wrong.

I am a teacher so still working from home, not as stressed as normal, overweight but trying to loose weight and exercising via walking a few days a week.

Anyone offer advice, as i cannot understand my bnf/ no AF. I am taking folic acid, since December, same brand reduced my caffiene to recommended!

I am under no illusion it takes a while for some to concieve, I would rather af and get on, or even have a faint line!

Thanks in advance!

@lucyrp this one's for you!

All I can say is that after being on MN for the last 6 months I see this cropping up fairly regularly - it just seems some women get a random long cycle like this once in a blue moon. They can't explain it at the time but AF does eventually show up and things go back to normal.

I think because of that, a lot of GPs don't like to do further tests unless you've missed two periods, as the expectation is that it's just a fluke. So definitely take those blood tests on Friday but try not to worry about it, odds are AF will get you next week and you can start afresh with a new cycle.

@Juno231 thanks!

@Smiling124 i'm currently on CD46 and i'm definitely going crazy too. my cycles have always been 28-30 days and then i went on the depo injection for 3 years and had no periods. i came off it in june last year and my periods regulated by december. so since christmas i had regular periods of 28-30 days until march when i believe i had a CP i had 3 faint positives amongst many negatives and then bled at 7 weeks since AF. this is my first cycle since that and i got a faint positive at i think 18dpo or 18 days since CB had told me i ovulated. i've since had negatives and absolutely no signs of AF or BFP! within the 3 weeks after ovulation i had nausea, headaches, spotting, loads of other things and i thought i was pregnant but they all subsided within a week after and i do get nauseas now and very tired but obviously not for that reason! i've been doing IC OPKs for the last 10 days and they've all read high! i've also had beige light pink spotting when i wipe and that's it sorry you're having a similar issue!

lucyrp · 24/06/2020 13:49

@Smiling124 also to add the doctors won't do any blood tests on me until i get to cycle day 21 of my next cycle! they said they would at the end of this month and then changed their minds so i've nick named myself @limbolucy over on the june bus 🤣😫

Smiling124 · 24/06/2020 13:57

@lucyrp sounds like we are im simular situations! I am so simular in that i am as regular as clockwork so i just cant understand. I wonder if we have missed ovulation this month.. But I like you had signs of ovulation, not using the strips nht feel I can tell with discharge etc (sorry tmi).
Love the nick name! I feel its just such a ball ache and im now worried there is something wrong with me!! Im exhausted and nauseous at points! I felt i had implantation cramps up until af was due (i say this like i know- trying for first!

@Smiling124 i have thought did i miss ovulation but then my CB digital test picked it up or so i thought. i had 4 days of low then 3 of high and then i got my peak and peak was on CD14 which would be in line with the length of my normal cycles so i had no reason to believe that was incorrect! i also had cervical mucus that matches with my normal sort of "wetness" around ovulation! also you definitely shouldn't have highs on ovulation predictor strips for over 10 days which is what i've had and normally indicates pregnancy but clearly not the case here! i already have a son who's 5 and i have been pregnant twice but i've never really paid any attention to symptoms or cycles etc

Smiling124 · 25/06/2020 11:24

@lucyrp
I think my gp are very simular to yours, they will not book me in until the 9th.. Making me over a month late if it is a positive outcome.... This two week wait jusy begun all over again!

Hope you are okay today!!

@Smiling124 i'm now CD49 and still nothing🤣

Fizzl · 27/06/2020 15:58

Hi both, just thought I'd share because I've had the same happen this month! Normally have a regular 28-30ish day cycle, never missed a period before and I'm now on CD65 😱. GP was very uninterested and said my period will likely just return in 2-3months. I had a MMC at the end of last year and was told my body was probably still recovering but I wasn't so sure about that given everything seemed back to 'normal' since Jan. I track my cycles and knew I hadn't ovulated when I normally do. GP agreed it was likely an anovulatory cycle and said my uterus was confused 😂 perfect!

Anyway, I have finally had a positive opk on Thursday and temp rise today so pretty confident I have now ovulated and expect AF to arrive in about 10 days (we stopped ttc this cycle whilst my body sorted itself out)

I've felt like I've been going crazy these past two months waiting for something to happen so I just wanted to say hang in there and hopefully your body will sort itself out like mine did eventually.

I don't know if it helped or was pure coincidence but I started acupuncture and after my second session I ovulated 🤷🏼‍♀️ not the cheapest solution tho!

Smiling124 · 27/06/2020 18:18

Hi @Fizzl sorry to hear about your mmc, thankyou for your advice! I have never been one to track cycle length etc but when ttc I feel its necessary but not sure if I ovulated so have no idea!!

I hope things get back to normal for us! @lucyrp hang in there!!

lucyrp · 29/06/2020 14:01

@Smiling124 any AF for you yet ? I'm now CD51 and nothing here

Smiling124 · 29/06/2020 22:27

@Smiling124 oh at least somethings happened for you though! Fresh cycle to start again! I really hope it is a miracle but I highly doubt it. If it gets past another 2 weeks I will be worried 🙈xx
