@candycrush2298 thats good then if it doesn't pick up until 3-4 days after!! You're definitely still in the game. We'll go with 6-12 days then too hahaha.
I dont get any AF warning signs. I get cramps all week, then they disappear and i have none for a couple of days, get excited then boom just go for a wee and there she is in full swing. Cow!

candycrush2298 · 13/07/2020 17:17

@Kaybobx at least you know how she works. I am the opposite normally I get ovulation pain, then nothing for a week and then bloating and constipation. When the cramping and poop cramping starts that means she is like right here. But now everything is just messed up this cycle whahahahah!!!

And at least you get those few days of a reprieve mine is usually bliss after ovulation and just after AF. Haahaha.

@Kaybobx I use easy@home I absolutely adore them. Only used ovulation strips though.

@candycrush2298 oooo AF not arrived yet sounds promising! I have my fingers crossed! Keep us posted.
I can't stop laughing at the zooming in on the implantation speck lol! Bless!

I'm in a foul mood today. Super irritable. I am also very ill. I've got a cold no idea why and a really upset stomach. I think this whole TTC issue is getting to me psychologically. I don't know how well I would be with kids when I am so moody half the time.

candycrush2298 · 13/07/2020 17:41

@Elakiya not yet but who knows what game she is playing. Probably a game of lets see how long we can continue the torture. Haha I know I am just terrible 🤣🤣🤣

Ahhhhh, hate those days where you just grumpy and everyone around is gonna get it hahahah. I.e. the husband hahahaha poor men. Hope you feel better soon, you can always vent to us we understand xx
@TTCandImpatient you're welcome. Good luck and keep us updated. Are you a serial tester or do you wait until you have missed AF before testing?
@candycrush2298 i'm a denier. I convince myself every month this month i'll wait until AF arrives, and each month I cave and test early!
The last few months I've kind of had a feeling that it wasn't going to come back positive. Woman's intuition i guess. Whereas this is the first month in a long while where i'm feeling positive.

Fingers crossed.
I use the "first response/early pregtests though and they suggest 4 days pre AF is when you'll first get the potential for a positive. Didn't really know it was possible to test before !

TTCandImpatient · 13/07/2020 18:28

So when are you guys all due AF? I'm due 21st so potentially going to cave and test Saturday

Elakiya · 13/07/2020 18:37

@TTCandImpatient Mine is due on the 21st as well.

@candycrush2298 I'm very sensitive today, just having a bit of a cry over all the PCOS symptoms that I cannot control (Hair loss is a big one, I've lost a lot of hair and now have to wear hair extensions cannot go out without them its really bad), I also get facial hair... I've tried laser (never worked on me), I've tried nair, I've tried razors, it gets rid of the hair but it makes the area darker. Then we have the weight loss it just won't go however hard I try :(. And now on top of all that, after forcing myself to battle through since the age of 11 with heavy periods with major cramps I now find out it's difficult for me to conceive and it's honestly been the tip of the iceberg... life just feels very unfair at the moment. I am sooo sorry for ranting. Just very very emotional today and can't stop crying.

candycrush2298 · 13/07/2020 18:50

@TTCandImpatient hahahaha we too are deniers.

And the reason we know that you can test early is because we watch TWW YouTube videos and line progression pg tests so yeah um we have all seen that many people have got their BFPs at 8dpo.

@Elakiya ahhh honey!!! I am so sorry. I dont know what it's like to live with PCOS but I can tell you that I know growing up with terrible heavy flows and loads of clots, I too have hair loss and also have to wear extensions and everyone in my family can conceive so easily and I am stuck for 2 years. Its like what have I done to deserve this?

So I can truly say that I may not know PCOS but I do know the pain and struggles. And you know what its OK to have a cry and to have a pity party. Because its good to get it out of your system.

@candycrush2298 Thanks hun. Makes me feel better that someone atleast understands. Like I do feel like I am overly sensitive and try my best to hold it in but sometimes I just snap :(

candycrush2298 · 13/07/2020 19:11

@Elakiya its difficult I know. You feel like you can't talk about it too much because people will get annoyed with you because you always negative so you bottle it up. It just blows. And yes I know what you mean its like it all gets too much and then you just snap.

OP posts:
Elakiya · 13/07/2020 19:29

@candycrush2298 Thanks for understanding. Finally feel like I have someone I can speak to.

Let’s lighten the mood a bit. I’ve realised I have no idea what to do once you get a positive pregnancy test. Does anyone know? Do you call your GP and ask for a blood test? And then what?

Boc86 · 13/07/2020 19:33

I see it @littletandme !

Im 4dpo, if I have my normal 10 DAY LP I’ll be due on Sunday so should be wiping brown my Saturday
However my period was late last month (possible chemical) so flo is now predicting AF next Tuesday 21st
So somewhere between Sunday 19th and Tuesday 21st x

Kaybobx · 13/07/2020 19:35

@TTCandImpatient I'm due around 21st too.

@Elakiya so sorry to hear all you are going through. I don't know much about the PCOS but you can always talk/rant to us. The good thing about this site is that we are all kind of going through the same thing in some way and all like to talk and listen about our experiences. As @candycrush2298 said, its good to cry we all do it. Im just a moody cow in general, ask my husband haha!
I hope you feel yourself again soon.

maryberryslayers · 13/07/2020 19:43

Hi, hope it's ok to join in?
AF due around the 21st.
I'm pretending I'll wait until then to test but I think I'll cave and do one on Saturday!

candycrush2298 · 13/07/2020 19:57

@Elakiya you are so welcome and yes let's. Ummmm I have never been pregnant either so that's a really good question. I have no freaken idea.

All those that already mums please tell us what do you do when you get a positive test?

@Kaybobx whahaha thats hilarious. Moody cow 🤣🤣

OP posts:
candycrush2298 · 13/07/2020 19:58

@maryberryslayers yes of course!!! How many dpo will you be by Saturday? I have been testing since 8dpo. I cant help myself 🤣

OP posts:
Boc86 · 13/07/2020 20:06

You phone your docs who book you in with the midwife for around 8 weeks x

candycrush2298 · 13/07/2020 20:09

@Boc86 thank you so much hahaha. By next week I am hoping to see so many BFPs on here its unreal.

OP posts:
maryberryslayers · 13/07/2020 20:11

@candycrush2298 I'll be 10dpo, it will be so hard not to test sooner though! I'm the same, 8dpo is when I start getting POAS obsessed as I know there is a teeny chance I could get a bfp. Are you testing daily now?

Kaybobx · 13/07/2020 20:11

Haha, so you call the doctors surgery and make an appointment with the midwife usually after 6 weeks. At your appointment they make your partner wait outside and ask you questions about if you really want the baby and if you are in an abuse relationship then he's allowed back in (just telling you this bit so you arent freaked out when it happens) 🤣 you'll do a pee sample to confirm pregnancy, get tons of leaflets and your pregnancy book which you take to all your appointments. This has all the info about you, babys measurements etc.
You then schedule your next appointment where she will listen to the heartbeat and measure your bump then after that you'll get you scan date at 12 weeks. You'll get appointments throughout your pregnancy then. Cant remember how many but know you get 2 scans at 12 and 20 weeks.

candycrush2298 · 13/07/2020 20:19

@maryberryslayers hell yeah i am testing daily. AF is due tomorrow/Wed or Thurs for me. So I am 13dpo and testing everyday even though its negative 😂

@Kaybobx wow OK thanks for telling me that would have totally freaked me out hahahahah!! 12 weeks is your first scan? I cannot be waiting that long. Think I am going to have to go get a private scan before then. I know you can't see anything but I like need confirmation its real. I think after this long of TTC it would take a lot to believe its really happening haha. Sounds stupid I know but yeah I am just not sure I would believe it.

Although at the mo they're not having face to face appointments until 28 weeks so your usual 16w appointment will be over the phone unless this changes soon!

Also they don't test your pregnancy in the pee sample (I didn't know this) they check there's no protein in your wee or any evidence of a UTI - also all records now go online so you don't get a huge stack of notes like you used to but you do still get some hand held bits!
