No idea what I’m doing

Hi guys,

I need your help!

So I had my coil taken out on 12th June and at the time I was CD2 as I was on my period (one of the best times to get fitted or removed btw!).

I started doing OPKs the day after my period finished on CD7 knowing I wouldn’t see a positive but wanting to get used to it and just to ensure I don’t ovulate early.

I’m now on CD14 and although I’ve had some ‘high’ LH results, I haven’t seen a peak. Now it’s starting to go down again I think and it’s been very up and down.

I also changed the time of my tests after reading that 10am and 2pm are good times to test. Also I seemed to be strongest in the mornings.

I’ve attached a screenshot of my LH tests. What are the chances that yesterday and the day before were my peak but I just don’t produce much LH? Or do you think I haven’t ovulated at all so far?

In terms of CM, I’ve been watery for the last 3 days but today seem to be going back to dry again 🤔 whilst on my coil I did used to get the EWCM for one day a month but never tracked it. I haven’t had that yet this month.

Basically I’m trying not to be negative but I’m not feeling positive that I’m even going to ovulate this month.

Any advice would be appreciated! x

Hmm, was it the copper coil, or hormonal? If hormonal will take some time for your cycles to go back to normal - I'm on my third cycle off the pill, and during my last cycle I had three LH surges between CD20 and 33!

As you say none of those are positive, so I would keep testing. It is possible you missed the surge as some women have very short surges, but if it were me I would assume I hadn't ovulated yet. What app are you using? I guess what may be making it confusing is that it's giving 'high' readings on lines that still look quite faint to me x

It was the hormonal coil. So I had the Mirena in for 5 years and that expired in October 2019. Was messed around by my GP and ended up finally getting a replacement in Feb this year but the Kyleena (a smaller dose hormonal coil). In between those times I had quite regular periods despite not having them for the whole 5 years prior.

Was supposed to getting married this August and then start trying afterwards. Well that’s not gone to plan given the current situation 😂 so although I was on the coil, I was only on my new one for a few months and still having periods.

I’m hoping I haven’t ovulated yet rather than not ovulate at all 😩

I’m using the Femometer app as it’s the same brand as the strips and BBT I’m using.

I guess I’ll just keep on testing and keep on the back of my mind that it may take a few months to see anything x
