Ttc and middle of last week had a tiny period that lasted a day & have felt queasy and tired but have felt less queasy when i started a period yesterday.

I strongly felt i was pregnant until i started my period which is a bit early(about a week)and have bought a pregnancy test.

Obviously really want to use the test now, do i have to wait, do you think i could be pregnant....

It doesn't sound like you are as you have now started your period. Sorry

is the bleeding you're having now quite heavy? proper period type bleeding?
if not, then it could be implantation bleeding as it's so early.
if you aren't due your period until next week then it won't show up on the test even if you are pg.

does that make sense?

funnypeculiar · 25/09/2007 15:19

If you've started your period, don't see that you can be, sorry
(although short bleed did sound like implanation bleeding!)

thegardener · 25/09/2007 15:28

I thought i might be with the short bleed too and with feeling queasy but was totally thrown when i started my period which is has been med-heavy bleeding so far, owww. not much point in trying the test now is it really.

It could be a very early mc or maybe you are just feeling more sensitive to how you have been feeling as you have expected to feel quesey etc as you are ttc.

pixie04 · 25/09/2007 16:16

how long have you had your period for? The early bleed sounds like an implantation bleed to me. Wait and see how this period pans out. Then do a test to put your mind at rest at least from the day your period should have been due. Bleeding is really common in early pregnancy so if you have concieved it may or may not be an early miscarriage.

If I were you I'd get and early detection test (first response or clearblue) and do a test tomorrow am. Then if its a BFN give it until the day your period should have been due and then do another test to be sure.

If you get a BFP get straight down to your GP's or early preg unit. They can do blood tests to make sure your hormones are risingnot falling.

thegardener · 25/09/2007 16:33

Excuse me for being ignorant but what is a BFN?

thegardener · 25/09/2007 16:35

How would i know if it was a miscarriage and then what would happen?

Sorry panicking a bit here, period is on 2nd day.

BFP = Big Fat Positive (ie positive test)

Sorry, I don't think I can be any help on the m/c front - perhaps try starting a new thread?

Although worth saying that earlier bleed could be due to other things (eg I have cervical erosion - not dangerous in any way but causes mid-cycle bleeding. As well as lots of blleding when I'm pg

Good luck
