Ovulation symptoms?

As per my last thread, I don’t seem to be finding a lot of EWCM even though my clear blue ovulation test results and app signal to ovulation being near!

If I inspect (won’t go into too much detail here folks!) I find some EWCM only a little bit it’s not in my underwear which is making me slightly paranoid that I could have an issue

It’s only my 1st month off my pill so my body may be taking time to adjust however I wondered is it just a little bit of EWCM or is it supposed to be a lot?

I’ve also had very very light cramping, is this a symptom of approaching ovulation?

Everyones bodies are different and will experience different symptoms. Some months I have loads of EWCM and some months I have barely any despite a OPK showing a surge.

@ShalomToYouJackie thank you! I do feel I’m being quite paranoid but I did want some reassurance that it’s normal

I don’t really have anyone to ask these questions to! My friends are all on contraceptive and not trying and I would not really ask my mother questions like these! Hence my account here on mumsnet

Ps love your username Smile

It's definitely normal and your symptoms will change, at least mine did. There's some posters who seem to able to tell when they're ovulating and what side they're ovulating from just from a twinge they've had.

I just used cheap OPKs and track the results every month on Femometer to learn when I ovulate. I also uses the Clear blue tests that come with an app and they put me at ovulating around 3 days earlier than what I'd interpreted from the cheap tests

I actually became pregnant my first cycle after having my implant removed, without even really trying but sadly had a MC. I wish it was as easy to get pregnant again!

@ShalomToYouJackie I am so sorry to hear about your MC Flowers hope you get a BFP soon!

I wouldn't worry too much, I was keeping an eye out for it the month I got pregnant (not trying, thought I just wasn't functioning yet after implant removal) and could not detect any whatsoever.

cheesey1997 · 23/06/2020 13:59

@Willowdaisyholly thank you for this Smile I feel the EWCM is made a big deal of so I worried myself into oblivion, used Dr.Google (which has never been correct for me!) and then proceeded to worry myself even further due to my google findings

@cheesey1997 Google is not your friend in these situations! My experience is a very recent one and I honestly thought my lack of ovulation symptoms (particularly ewcm) meant I wasn't back to normal after Nexplanon. I did rely on the MAP but wasn't worried and lo and behold, I was pregnant. The only thing I thought might be a sign was a cramping type pain in my right side but it was nothing to make a fuss about.

I take it you are actively ttc? If so, good luck to you Smile

Mine are that I look better physically, my sex drive increases a lot and I get clear discharge.

Or those were my symptoms before peri-menopause anyway.

If you're only in the first month off the pill definitely give your body time to adjust. You need time to track a real cycle and go from there. Many people don't even get a true period for a few months after coming off the pill.
Ovulation apps etc work from a 28 day cycle. Yours might not be.
Cramping isn't usually a sign of ovulation. I have a syndrome which causes ovulation pain, that's severe and on one particular side that varies month to month. I knew exactly which ovary DD came from, confirmed by an early scan Grin
You just need more time to track and plan and get used to your own cycle. Fingers crossed for you Thanks

@Willowdaisyholly google is the enemy! I wish I could block it somehow as I always find myself using it and just feeling worse

Thank you so much you have reassured me! And thank you for the good luck, we are TTCSmile

@indemMUND wow thank you. I am being extremely hard on myself and diagnosing myself with hostile cervical mucus and irregular periods when in reality I haven’t even had a full month contraceptive pill free!

Another flashing smiley face so looks like I’ll have to be extremely patient these next few months

I was very dry down there when I came off the pill. I started raking EPO (evening primrose oil) and it definitely helped me getting more CM.
