We're having friends over for a bbq soon and I'm trying to figure out a reason for not drinking (just in case). I'm not a big drinker anyhow (last time was at Xmas!) but these are people we normally go out drinking with 🙈

@Newbie0818 I see, good idea then, it's easy on the not drinking if it's your own place, do you drink g&t? If so then don't make them in front of the others & just make yours a tonic with ice & lemon, to look at there is no difference. If you don't drink that then you can get 0% ciders and again pour it into a glass

@skip86 OMG get yourself a fecking fruit pastille and try NOT to chew it. It's a soft sweet with sugar on the outside that you TRY to suck to death but you just can't help but chew. (There was an advert saying that wasn't there?!) send me your address I will totally send you some

@newbie0818 the only other thing you could say is you're on antibiotics so will need to lay low on the drinking? Tbh @minister2012 fake g&t seems like a fabulous idea! If you drink Amaretto and coke you could get away with just Coke Zero (will have a lot less caffiene)/cherry coke too x

Hi ladies, I'm still here but lurking a bit as I'm in that boring stage of my three week wait until fertile week 🙄 so not much to share! We are both on vitamins this month as opposed to just me, so 🤞 that helps! CD10 today - I always struggle around this point because I'm conscious that if I had a "normal" length cycle, I'd be hitting FW now, it always makes me feel a little despondent!

I'm a pro at the pretending to be drinking, last time, 9 yrs ago 🙈 friends asked us down. So I filled a small vodka bottle with water, they all know I take small measures and my DH always poured. So if someone there just pour the water in, when no ones looking pour a bit down the sink 😂😂 that and 7up. Worked brilliant I must say.
If and when this happens and I could say anything, I don't think to many would suspect it at this stage in Our lifes 🙈

@Cocoblue22 I felt like that last night, did you manage to muster the energy last night for a final fling? OH cooked me a bowl of pasta and then I made him order me chicken and chips about an hour later 🤣

@Minster2012 it's funny you say about DS in the morning, my OH is always saying how happy he'll be when I have a baby as I'm such an early riser and need a companion when I get up at 5am everyday 🤣 hope he is giving you some nap relief this afternoon x

@Newbie0818 ooh temps staying high sounds good 🙌🏾 maybe you should take a test before your friends come round so you know either way whether you can drink but loads of good suggestions if you don't want to test and I've definitely just decided not to drink before, when not pregnant. Most people don't question it anymore x

@LV1987 I totally get how you feel! For me the lead up to ov is SO frustrating as everyone's fw and testing time seems to come and go by the time I'm in it! Try to keep distracted as best you can and enjoy it when it comes :)

@SmileyT I might just go with the whole fake drinks thing or say it's a New Years resolution haha.

@smileyT we just tried the wheelbarrow, whilst DS did give some nap relief, & yeah I see what you mean about the not deep penetration but also with a slight hangover (only slight as I wasn't too bad!) being head down blood rushing to my head wasn't ideal 😂. If you get pregnant we might remind you about the 5am wake up that "you'll love" 🤔🤣😳

@Newbie0818 just pretend you are drinking and they won't notice have 'gin' and lemonade or something they can't tell. Make sure DH knows the plan before hand so if he pours you a drink he knows what to do haha! X

@SmileyT you'll be pleased to know we did! Not sure whether we should today or not if we were following smep then we should technically dtd today and Monday too but not sure if it's necessary x

I'm actually pretty sure I ovulated on Thursday which would mean I'm 2 dpo but I think I'll say one to be on the safe side I got BFP at 10/11dpo last time x

@Minster2012 I don't think I've had one since I was about 8 years old! And I assume I would've chewed 🤷🏼‍♀️

Nothing new to report here just in the middle of the TWW (not sure exact dpo around 7/8ish) and trying not to think about it too much or symptom spot this month so MIA a bit from posting.
However even with trying not to symptom spot I could actually have sworn yesterday I was pregnant as my boobs were so sensitive they felt like they were on fire any time I moved, it was so intense I couldn't not symptom spot! But they don't feel as sensitive today so putting it down to normal hormonal fluctuations and going back to try switching off till my periods due. (Tho will admit to doing an IC yesterday as it was that intense! BFN tho not surprised)

@lucyrp, am I mistaken thinking you had a vfl? If so🥺😘

@Franklydear ohhh yes i did have one but it was at 18dpo and had negatives since! so no explanation yet sorry 😂🙈
