Hello ladies,
I went to my first doctors apt this morning and according to my LMP i am 5 weeks 4 days. My doctor could not find a gestational sac, he told me i May have ovulated later and it’s just too soon or i might be having an ectopic pregnancy. Has anyone had something similar happen and after a week a sac was there? I have to wait a week and go back for 2nd US. Im so scared it’s a ectopic, i just had a MMC nov 19 and just now finally fell pregnant again.

Hi, I had this when I was pregnant with my son 3 years ago... I had some light bleeding and cramps so went to the EPU and had a scan they told me the scan didn't look right for my dates as there was no sack etc and had to go back 1-2 weeks later and there was a heartbeat! They adjusted my due date and I went on to have a very healthy pregnancy and a very big 9lb baby boy! Good luck and hope things turn out well for you🤞🏼 xx

Thank you so much for sharing that! Made me feel a little better! I did have a 32 day cycle so my ovulating later could be what it is (i hope) 🤞🏻 Xoxo

@Mommy10 went into EPU at 7 weeks, dated me at 5.2 weeks and was asked to come back the following week. Heatbeat visible and dated at 6.4 weeks and they adjusted my due date later. My daughter is nearly 2!

Mommy10 · 23/06/2020 13:09

@Makino when you went to your EPU and they dated you at 5.2 did they see the gestational sac?

Hiya, they couldn't even see anything to indicate I was pregnant on my 5 week scan and had me booked in for bloods every 48h to rule out ectopic. My levels kept rising so they did another scan around a week or 2 later and all was fine!

Makino · 23/06/2020 13:58

@Mommy10 Sorry should have said when they dated me that was not according to any measurements but dating from predicted ovulation.

1st EPU scan no gestational sac visible, she had a good poke around. I was so upset when I left I didnt want to go back. I only went for EPU scan to alliveiate my aniexty!

Week later they said you probably ovulated much later than you thought and although fetal pole was small there was a heartbeat!!

Mommy10 · 23/06/2020 14:52

@kate123cl that’s exactly what they have me doing, i go back to tomorrow for more blood work. I’m so happy everything turned out fine for you! Thank you for sharing, I’m hoping for the same outcome for me xx

@Mommy10 Wishing you all the best! It's quite normal for there not to be a lot on a 5 week scan so fingers crossed xx

@Makino i was soo upset leaving my doctors office yesterday, i cried all day. I lost my last pregnancy at 16 weeks and it took us 7 months to get pregnant again. I was already real nervous going in bc I’m so scared of hearing “ sorry but there’s no heartbeat” then i hear “sorry but are you sure ur pregnant? I don’t see anything” my heart sank. I go Monday for my 2 EPU, trying to stay calm until then. Hearing your ladies story’s gave me some hope! Xx

@Mommy10 That's so strange hearing that from someone else because I could've wrote it myself about hearing the 'are you sure you're pregnant' I even told the sonographer that I have the pregnancy test in my bag! I just remember being sent back out into the waiting room with other women with massive bumps, it was horrible! The worst part was the wait. Please please please try and take your mind off of it (I know this'll be hard) but you'll make yourself feel so much worse stressing about it. I really hope everything's ok for you x

Makino · 23/06/2020 15:09

@Mommy10 I am so so sorry about your loss!!

I know what you mean. EPU is one of the worst places to be, I was excited upon entering like a little kid then leaving feeling like you! Also the EPU lady I had at our hospital was a heartless robot.

Stay calm, relax, soak up the sun and give this bean as much love as possible! x

Mommy10 · 23/06/2020 15:17

@kate123cl once he asked that questioned i said i took 3 pregnancy test and they all were positive! Once i left i went to store and bought another test. 2 strong solid lines for the 4th time, He had me thinking i was crazy! 1 was even a digital that clearly said “pregnant” I’m a lot less stressed today esp talking to you ladies! So thank you again!

My doctors called and they got my first blood results back and they were at 525, they confirmed my pregnancy and said I’m just early so in 10 days I’ll have my next ultrasound!

kate123cl · 23/06/2020 20:42

@Mommy10 That's fantastic news! I had to wait until 10pm for a phone call back in 2018 lol. I really hope your scan goes ok. Check back in and let us know! I'm sure everything will be perfectly fine. Good luck with your pregnancySmilex

Mommy10 · 23/06/2020 22:18
