Just that really. We’ve been trying for a couple of months and nothing so far but my periods seem to be irregular these days.

So one month 38 days between periods, then 28 days then this time only 25 days. I’ve never really paid a lot of attention to exactly when my period was but roughly about 30 days.

I had the coil for years though, so when I had it out it took airtime whilst to settle down.

Just seems typical that they’re starting to become irregular now when we’re trying.

I assume I’m still ovulating so I’ll just have to have sex from day 12-18.

I’m wondering whether to pop to DR as it says if your periods suddenly become irregular and your under 45 or 40 I can’t remember it’s a good idea to get checked out.

You feel silly going but she might be able to give me something to make them regular or to help ovulation? Is that even possible or am I just wasting her time?

Sorry for waffling

I also have 2 older children and I conceived 1st month with each but I was a lot younger. Also a different father so he’s also feeling crap as he wonders if it’s him bless him.

Thanks for reading

If you think you need an appointment then do ask for one. Two cycles isn't very long but each person is different so what was the case for one person's GP's advice might not be the case for another patient. Hopefully they'll be understanding either way. I appreciate this isn't a clear answer. I haven't got regular cycles either and have decided to test with OPKs to see what's going on before heading to the doctors, so I have more information. That's what feels right for me, and I'm happy to wait the year of trying out (I think it's 6 months trying for 40+). Good luck whatever you decide to do and if this is making you or your partner feel really down do mention that to the GP as they might have some good advice there too.

@Douya

Thanks for the message. Can I ask what OPK is please? Perhaps it’s something I could look in to, as you say, 2 cycles isn’t long at all.
