Should I see my GP?

As above really, I’m late by 12, going on 13 days.
3x BFN, all post AF due date so I’m not really sure what I should do? Do I book to go and see the GP or just keep waiting till AF arrives?
I’ve always been very on time and never missed a period, very regular so this is a bit odd for me.

Any suggestions? TTC #1, cycle 1, had plenty of unprotected sex throughout last month, not just around potential OV days.

Your GP is unlikely to do anything if it's just an odd month and you have no other symptoms. If it sets your mind at rest, maybe ask for a phone call.

Is it your first cycle since coming off the pill?

@Kay00
Hi, no it’s not - I’ve been off for over 18 months now.

I had really strong symptoms at the start, around 10 dpo, felt sick, tired, and crampy and now have mild symptoms but I don’t know if it’s just my mind playing tricks - so I just ignore it and get on with my day! I am exhausted, but then I’m busy so maybe it’s that!

When would I next ovulate? After my next period, whenever that may be?

Hi @Confused1010.

I am also very regular, so I know how odd it is to be a few days out, and 12 days is a lot. It is possible to have BFN if you HCG is not yet high enough...but you would think it would be 12 days later. I agree...very confusing!

Time will ultimately tell...but No harm to see GP...put your mind at rest. I think I would too.

Confused1010 · 22/06/2020 21:06

Hi BouncyTree,

I have read people having that problem, it’s just odd as I’m so regular. Not stressed or anything at the moment so it’s just strange how it’s suddenly late the moment we started TTC!

I’ll give them a call and see what they say, thank you.

Are you sure you ovulated? Do you track with opk or temping?
Sometimes women have a cycle where they don't ovulate and it can delay periods for a while...

Confused1010 · 23/06/2020 09:58

@SunnySideUp2020 I don’t but it may be something I start, but I didn’t want to make it too clinical so early on - were both young but on the basis of this last cycle I think it might be sensible now!
AF actually arrived this morning so no need for a GP - typical, should’ve posted a week ago!
I did start taking pregnacare, so I wonder if it was that. It’s not meant to affect your cycle but that’s the only change I can think of. I’ve stopped taking it as it made me feel rough!
Thanks for your help everyone 😊

GP will probably ask you to hang on until your next period is late before they do anything.
