@chloexxxx you know how it feels!!! How many days are you late now? Hoping AF isn’t making an appearance for you xx

chloexxxx · 22/07/2020 19:28

@tizzybelle I was due on Monday. Been getting very sore heads and cramping on and off. A little dizzy too. X

@chloexxxx aww that’s exciting! How many days apart did u test?

This will be my longest cycle now at 31 days compared to 27/28. I keep feeling like I’ve started but just feeling really wet down there a lot of creamy stuff going on... and my boobs don’t fit in my bra haha

chloexxxx · 22/07/2020 20:10

@Pickles3020 I have tested everyday since sat. And today it's the darkest it's been.

It's so weird how some cycles can be different. I have had a few months in the past when my cycle has been longer than others. X

@tizzybelle @LS2020 hi girls, yesterday I got my FRER delivered and decided to take at least 2 hours without liquids so the results could be accurate. I didn’t have to wait so long, less than one hour from that my Af decided to come, strongly (!!). It was curious because my first feeling was relief, like ok, now I know the answer, I can move forward, but so sad... hoping August will be our month!

@chloexxxx and @hann85 fingers crossed for you!

hann85 · 23/07/2020 09:28

@Rockabye3 sorry to hear that :( at least you've had a definitive answer, and it's not meant to be this time. Bring on the next month!

@tizzybelle How have you been getting on?

So I had one day of red stretchy mucus spotting, one day of really heavy bleeding with loads of clots in it and now nothing but a few specs on a pad (sorry this is a lot of detail haha). Still feeling really dizzy but nothing other than that, not sure what to think because that was a very strange AF and never had anything like it at all. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

hann85 · 23/07/2020 09:31

@chloexxxx that definitely sounds like good news!!! x

tizzybelle · 23/07/2020 10:32

@Rockabye3 oh AF!!! Sorry to hear that. So frustrating but hopefully you’ll be able to get it over and done with and try again. Are you using OPKs or anything to help the process?

tizzybelle · 23/07/2020 10:35

@hann85 morning! I’m feeling ok thanks - thankfully no spotting so I’m hoping it was just DTD and a sensitive cervix.

Hhhmm I’ve not that had experience before with AF. Did you come off the pill recently? My AF last month was strange in that I spotted a few days, had like a weird gloop (sorry!) which was dark brown but almost just looked like thick discharge. Then 2 days of heavy bleeding and then nothing. Just wondering if it’s sort of similar and could be something to do with coming off the pill?

Happyhappy37 · 23/07/2020 11:30

Good morning all. Hope you are doing well. Welcome to the new ladies.

hann85 · 23/07/2020 15:36

@tizzybelle That's good news :) happy to hear

I came off the pill in Feb so was a while ago now, periods were a mess for a few months but had settled down so this seems a bit out of the ordinary. AF completely stopped, still got some mild cramping (doesn't make sense if bleeding stopped) and this constant dizzy woozy feeling. Don't want to feel like I'm just holding onto something that's not there you know?

@Happyhappy37 welcome! How are you? Smile

tizzybelle · 23/07/2020 17:47

@hann85 i know what you mean because if you know you're out then you know to start trying for another cycle. Hmm maybe take a cheap pregnancy test just to put your mind to rest?

Make sure you are drinking and eating enough - it's pretty warm where I am. If this dizziness keeps up make sure you go and see your GP!

LS2020 · 27/07/2020 12:57

Hi all, sorry been a bit MIA after AF, had a good cry and starting into my FW this week so onwards and upwards. I’ve got a blood test this month to check I’m ovulating so hoping that flags something. I’ve started to spot a couple of days after AF now which is super unusual and hoping it’s not something else wrong 😫

Sorry to hear about AF @Rockabye3 it sucks but August will be our month!

How are you getting on @tizzybelle?

@Happyhappy37 @hann85 @chloexxxxhope you’re all keeping well! Where are you in your cycles now?

chloexxxx · 27/07/2020 13:51

@LS2020 😔sorry you have been feeling like that. I know the feeling. But this is new month and I have everything crossed for you.
If your getting bloods for ovulation is your partner getting sperm checked too?

I got bfp last week and last time I tested was Friday and the line was super dark. Am feeling anxious as I had a Mc in jan and we have been trying for 2 years so hoping everything will be fine this time round. Such a long time to wait until 12 weeks scan 🙈.

Fingerscrossed for all you girls and hoping to see more bfp for the month of Aug ❤️

OP posts:
LS2020 · 27/07/2020 13:56

Thank you @chloexxxx. I’m sorry I missed your BFP post - congratulations and fx it’s lovely and sticky for you this time.
Can you get a private 8 week scan done? That’s what my manager did 😊 less of a wait.

Yeah the OH has been put forward for one and some urine tests but they’ve said they’ve only just reopened so have to contact everyone’s who was cancelled first and then they’ll sort him. They said ring back next week though so hoping he gets in soon!

Did you get any tests done with being 2 years?

chloexxxx · 27/07/2020 14:10

@LS2020 that's ok! And thank you😘.
Yeah I did get a private scan with my first pregnancy but didn't see heartbeat or anything as I think it was too early. Although I was meant to be 7 weeks so the sonograph should of maybe advised me that I should go to early preg unit as you should see a heartbeat at 7 weeks I think. I think she maybe thought I had my dates muddled but I knew I never! But I might try and hold out until a little longer to get a scan.

Yeah we did, so after a year of trying we both got ovulation and sperm checked and all came back fine. We were then told to keep trying for a further 6 months and it we weren't able to conceive then referral and other tests would be done. But we ended up conceiving but then ended in MC.

How long have you been trying? X

OP posts:
LS2020 · 27/07/2020 14:52

@chloexxxx I mean I’m deffo not an expert but yeah agree that I thought you should be able to detect from 6 weeks? My line manager deffo had hers at 8 weeks and got it all confirmed as viable as that’s when she told us so hopefully you don’t have to wait too long if you don’t want 😊

Been just over a year now but is my 14th cycle as I have short cycles. I had some private 3 day bloods done a couple of months ago and they were fine but I have been a bit worried as we’re 27 and healthy so should have happened relatively soon we thought. In fairness we have only been doing full OPK and proper timings since start of the year but we’d been off contraception for 19 months now so thought given both, it was right to start progressing. I really just want reassurance for my OH as I feel my tests will come back ok but we tried to do a home swimmer kit and we couldn’t get it to work so has worried me since then!

chloexxxx · 27/07/2020 15:28

@LS2020 sometimes it just takes time. It really is the most frustrating thing! As you hear about people trying once and falling preg. But hang in there. You are young and healthy so hopefully it will happen for you both soon. And your OH can get his sperm test soon aswell!

I found opk testing pretty good and indicate when to get in as many dtd as possible! It really is about timing so keep at it. Fingerscrossed for you this month and keep us updated 😘 x

tizzybelle · 27/07/2020 15:44

@LS2020 hello my lovely. Sorry to hear it's been a rough few days for you :( make sure you treat yourself to something nice. The blood test will put your mind at ease hopefully.

Also the spotting, it's only happened the once right? It may just be a strange cycle. I know lots of women spot from time to time and still get BFPs (myself included!). I know you're doing all the right things so we've just got to get you through it!! Sending you lots of virtual hugs.

I'm doing okay thank you! I told my mum about my BFP over the weekend - just so if anything goes wrong I'd have some support. She didn't react well it was very strange she seemed to force a reaction. I am thinking it may have something to do with the fact that it was a total surprise (we'd told her we wouldn't be trying for kids until we moved house but COVID through a spanner in that). She seemed more excited about organising a party... Not trying to look into it too much and let it get me down. She has been messaging me today giving me lots of advice etc. so I am putting it down to shock and that she's not great at showing her emotions. We come from a traditional background where you aren't supposed to talk about pregnancy so perhaps it was that... Families! They're weird aren't they lol.

tizzybelle · 27/07/2020 15:49

@LS2020 @chloexxxx just reading your messages. I agree that the OPK testing stuff really helped us pin point when to DTD. I always thought my ovulation was a lot later but it turns out it was earlier than I thought. We used Clear Blue ones - they're quite pricey but they worked for us.

This is really terrible to admit and please don't judge me but I am too scared to do a private scan in case anything is wrong. I keep convincing myself as long as I don't see any blood everything is fine. It's silly and naive I know Sad

chloexxxx · 27/07/2020 16:06

@tizzybelle absolutely no judgement atall. I feel exactly the same! It's such a weird one isn't it.
When I went for private scan, she said she could see yolk sac and everything look in the right place. When really, I think I should
Of seen more in that scan. The only reason I knew I Mc is cause I was getting pain and was referred to early preg unit and I honestly thought it would be nothing! I was meant to be 9 weeks by this time and what I could see on the screen was exactly the same I seen at private scan at 7 weeks. I told this to the nurses and they said that the private scans are fine for gender reveal or if your further on but for reassurance very early on, they aren't really qualified to tell you anything. Her words were anyone can scan you.
So I don't think I want to get private scan this early cause of this experience. But I totally understand people who do.

How have u been feeling @tizzybelle?

LS2020 · 27/07/2020 16:42

@chloexxxx it’s so hard isn’t it. Just heard of another 3 people I know today who are pregnant, ready to throw in the towel 😫
Yeah I need to get the cb ones again as I at least got a smiley face on them instead of the cheapies!!

Thank you @tizzybelle. Spotting only happened once but this cycle the end of AF has been dragging on a day or two, don’t need a pad but still wiping blood :/

Thank you both for being so kind and cheering me up ❤️ So glad you both have your bfps and I honestly understand with the scans, I’m super nosy and would want to do but understand it isn’t for everyone and just want to enjoy the peace, maybe I will too!

@tizzybelle interesting about your mum - I’m worried about how my family will react as we haven’t mentioned anything. Hopefully it was just a shock thing and she’ll come round when it’s sunk in xx

Happyhappy37 · 27/07/2020 22:08

Hi ladies. Hope all is well. Been really busy these last couple of days @chloexxxx @tizzybelle @Pickles3020 @LS2020
