Real BFP positive or not?!

I stopped taking the pill at the end of April, got my period in mid May. Period app thought I was due the next period Monday 15th. Have had lots of cramps but no period. Just took this test, line came up very quickly. Couldn’t bring myself to believe it so went straight to the pharmacy and bought a CB digital, which I took an hour after the first test (probably not sensible...). It said not pregnant! Which do I believe?! Thanks for any sage words.

Looks positive to me! I think the first response aren't great at the beginning? But I don't know for sure because I got my bfp from a blood test! I've got my fingers crossed for you.

Certainly looks like a BFP! Congratulations!

The Digital ones take a while to appear pregnant I believe! Is this one a FRER?

Test again tomorrow with FMU if worried!

Crossornot · 19/06/2020 17:01

It’s a FRER rapid response from amazon, but the stick doesn’t have their usual branding, though I can see from the wrap it was in they’re made by the same people....this added to my reluctance to believe it’s real!

Definitely a BFP!

Your digital will have been with diluted wee and only held for a short time. You said about 1 hour later? Combine that with the fact that digitals aren't as sensitive and I'd definitely believe the FRER not the digital.

If you test again in the morning or in a couple of days time I think you'll see a very strong line.

Congratulations!

Literaryseed · 19/06/2020 18:42

The FRER is much more sensitive and if you took the digital shortly after your urine won't have had time to build up HCG.
That FRER is definitely positive.

MrsKin90 · 19/06/2020 18:55

Definitely positive 😊 and you should hold your wee for like at least three hours without drinking much before taking any test - even a sensitive one, so the digital didn't stand much of a chance! 😊 Take another digital in the morning or on Sunday morning. Congratulations!! 🥰

Looks positive to me too. It’s rare to have a false positive test - it’s much more likely the negative test is the suspect one. Pregnancy tests positive or negative can be very hard to accept, it’s all so abstract. The cramping you had could have been due to implantation. The dates certainly seem to work...is AF normally regular ?

Agree with the above! Congratulations OP!

Nottherealslimshady · 19/06/2020 19:18

I think it is! Could see it before I even opened the image. Congratulations!

Thanks everyone. I was on the mini pill for years up until the end of April and didn’t have periods on it, so I can’t remember how long my cycles used to be and it’s difficult to think they’d have got back up and running so fast. Fingers crossed!
